What happened to the Azores?

I'm playing a GS game right now and the Americans have just joined the fray. Yet I am still not able to utilize the Azores air base because it belongs to Portugal. Did yall make a change I don't know about?

Azores becames american base either on some specific turn in 1943 (don't remember exact date), or when Axis DoW Portugalia.
By the way, Frank, did you got my mail with turns? I sent it sort of week ago, and got no response.

Hi,

This was changed back in version v1.03 , the latest version is v1.06

In the manual -
Change log toward the end of the manual.

Updated the scenarios so Persia starts with only 2 garrisons instead of 3.

Updated the map and scenarios so the Azores airbase is controlled by Portugal

Changed the code so Persia won’t receive any reinforcements each year.

This should prevent the use of Persian units for invading Italy and other similar things in the late game.

Changed the code so the Azores airbase is changed to US control when Portugal is DoW’ed regardless of which side makes the DoW.

A message about this is shown as well

Changed the code so the Azores will be leased to the Allies on August 11th 1943. A message about this is shown.

Nope I guess I didn't. I thought you forfeit, or am I thinking of a different game?
