New MP Force Selection (unevenly balanced)

Have played several MP games using the new beta.
I was surprised by the changes to the maps in the Redux versions as compared to the originals. No problem here, just a comment.

What I did find that is a potential problem, is that the force selection seems to be extremely one-sided.
In other words, the Germans are able to get 3 King Tigers, 4 Panthers, 2 Wespe, and more misc troops besides.
At first I had fun spreading Armageddon across my opponents troops,...but then, it wasn't fun any more,...and I'm sure my opponent was disgusted, in that he knew he had no chance. Why should he ever want to play as allies again,..and I now know that I wouldn't have a chance either as allies.

Sure, there is some randomness in picking your own forces,..but,..I can't see any one that is playing as Germans to pick anything else BUT what I did.
Don't know what the solution is here.

In some ways, I love the original "locked in" set of troops because you can play over and over again and see if you get better, even though you're using the exact same troops.
Plus, you can try a different attack or defense path and see if measures up against your opponent.

I like the idea of force selection,..just not sure it's out of its Beta stage yet.

Perhaps a random selection by computer?
This avoids 3 King Tigers, 4 Panthers, 2 Wespe...
And always have a random factor that is not to know exactly if the opponent gets to play a scenario.

This is an area we need more feedback on so all opinions are welcome.

The cost of the German tanks is supposed to balance this, as well as limiting the number of uber tanks they can purchase.

What do other think? Do we need to raise the prices of German tanks?

Especially limit the number of certain models of tanks.

This is what makes the original scenario Clash of Armor so good!
When I first played it as Allies, I thought there's no way they could win, but after many tries, I figured out some things that I won't disclose here. :wink:

The Allies have more units and can spare losing some in trying to take out the panthers.
On the flip side,..when I played as the Axis,..I thought that there was no way they could lose,....only to be beaten by 1-2 opponents who stopped me in my tracks.

My point is, any more Allies and the game swings entirely in their favor,....any less and no way will they ever win.

Don't get me wrong,..I like the idea of Force Selection, but it seems that it can be pretty hard to create some form of equitable balance.
