Once a BG fights a battle, it becomes disorganised, so it loses future moves... If 27/3 fights in Hermanville, it has to stay there... Move prioritisation is criticaljoncorcuera wrote:John if the 27/3 gwins in Hermanville gets to move to cristot?

Yes, my guess is that both sides will suffer heavy losses this turn...GottaLove88s wrote:The trick is going to be, because the frontlines are becoming quite muddled up now, several BGs have nowhere to withdraw to, and must win or be dissolved...

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - June 10th - Battles galore
Gents,
Some of you will have realised that I've got to create 3 of the 4 maps for June 10th AM (Hermanville, Biéville, Cristot) as well as adding the right flags/units to Pegasus, and running all of the usual Campaign Day 'beta' pre-play checks... This may take me a couple of days, so please experiment with Husky meanwhile...
Also, with family (lovely wife
) and day job (swotting for a new rotation next week
), it means that I won't get a chance to work in and validate the extra fixes (consume charges/prevent tank traps in trees) that we need for our 'real engineers'.
Hopefully, you guys won't mind if I concentrate on getting maps/battles out, and we can add the 'real engineers' for June 11th?

Take your time, Jon.
But may I ask for a minor favour, that the OOB is updated after confirmed merges and re-organisations
Happy Easter!

Good reminder P-A, Yes, it's always smarter to update the OOB before adding units to battle maps, lol.
However, I'm wondering, perhaps now is the moment to delegate looking after our OOB to a thorough, careful and trustworthy Kamarad, in possession of Excel (or Numbers
). Does anyone come to mind?

URGENT - Has everyone upgraded to v2.10 (including iPad players)?
You'll be pleased to hear that the mapping is almost finished...
Am now stripping out code that did useful things for v2.06 but is now duplicated in the default v2.10 (eg. swap units, suppress promotion stars, etc).
Just want to be 100% certain that everyone is running the latest, v2.10 version, before release...???

Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - June 10th - Battles galore
For the newbies, sector battle maps approximately represent the terrain and features of each sector on our GJS'44 Strategic Campaign Map...
BIEVILLE
As the strat map suggests, Biéville is a relatively open map, with major roads passing through. Small woods and cornfields offer some cover to ambush passing vehicles.

CRISTOT
Cristot is criss-crossed by a busy road network. Chateau Monte Cristot dominates the northeast, with scattered woods providing hiding places elsewhere. The River Bessin cuts off the northwest from the rest of the map.

HERMANVILLE
As the strat map shows, Hermanville is hedgerow heaven. However, it is an open map, with only fields, roads and the town of Hermanville itself. It's a map for infantry to watch, hit and hide... and for cavalry to ride like the wind, once they've checked nothing is hiding behind the hedgerow

PEGASUS BRIDGE
Pegasus is divided north-south by the western Caen Canal and the easterly River Orne. Single bridges are the only places where armour may cross either water obstacle. However, cunning infantry can take advantage of other features. Two towns lie at either end
