Suddenly no sound on iPad

This occurred after purchasing the expansion pack Market Garden. Rebooting doesn't help. The controls for both music and effects still appear, but no sound. All other apps sound fine.

The app itself has no updates available....

Do you have the silence switch toggle off? The game respects it. Purchasing the expansion would not affect the sound, as it is just an unlock.

Evidently the game respects it even when the switch is set to lock rotation. I was wrong about other games as well, it was random, but some games weren't muted some were. Now I can hear again.

Strange. I'm suffering from the same issue, even my lock switch is off. I came back after a few days away and boom, no sound.

Fixed. I toggle from lock rotation to mute in the option and sound is restored. Toggled back to lock rotation and all is well. Guess it just needed a swift metaphorical kick.
