Re: GJS'44 - D-Day - June 11th - Waiting for Allied orders

Post by cavehobbit »

Last night I finished the map pack with June 11th battles and sent them to Ranger to have the maps approved. As soon as this is done I will upload the map pack to let the war continue... 8)

A quick reminder, these are the battles:
CONFIRMED BATTLES - JUNE 11th

ABBAYE d'ARDENNE - ASD - II/22/21 (Morge4) attack/no move 22/7 (Guardsman)
TRUNGY - ME - 2CDN (Rblancha) vs 192/21 (Honour79)
LEBISEY WOODS - AFD - 1/79 (iProp) attack/no move II/736/716 (Landmarine)
BRETTEVILLE - ME - 27/3 (Jcb) vs II/12/12SS (Honour79)
PEGASUS - AFD - 30/79 (Rblancha) attack/no move 914/352 (Mlazar)

POTENTIAL BATTLES

5al/6 in Pegasus?
25/12SS in Pegasus?
8/3 in Bretteville?
9/3cdn in Lebisey?
Battle in Bayeux has been cancelled due to misunderstanding if II/744/711 was out of supply(OOS) or not. This is a decision both sides has agreed upon. II/744/711 will become OOS at the end of June 11th, if not 192/21 wins in Trungy...

I would like to remind all players when picking your forces and deploy them to check your force pool and bonuses. If you would find any errors, contact me and Ranger immediately so we can correct the errors.

Hello All,

I've reviewed all of the maps and everything is in good order. They look great. Thank you very much CaveHobbit and Gottalove88s.

So um.. on behalf of the Allied side in this tournament, I approve the 5 maps submitted for the first 5 battles of the June 11 round. Abbaye, Bretteville, Pegasus, Lebisey Woods, and Trungy.

Gentlemen Start Your Engines! Play Ball!

I'll leave it to CaveHobbit to publish the link for the maps etc.

As stated in previous posts, the following battles are still pending:

2nd Action at Pegasus Bridge
3rd Action at Pegasus Bridge
2nd Action at Lebisey Woods
2nd Action at Bretteville

Cheers,

Thomas

Here is June 11th AM map pack.

How to download the GJS'44 maps into Battle Academy
1. Run BA on your Mac, PC or iPad
2. If you do not already have GJS'44 on your system, skip ahead to Step 8
3. Choose Multiplayer (at the bottom)
4. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
5. Choose the My Challenges tab (at the top) then press New Challenge
6. Select a GJS'44 Campaign scenario and then Delete Campaign (bottom right)
7. Press X until you get back to BA start screen
8. Choose Campaigns (at the bottom)
9. Choose Download Community Scenarios (at the top)
10. Choose Download a Campaign Package from the Internet (top right)
11. Copy the link https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/535 ... UN11AM.LST into the URL box
12. Click the green tick
13. Back at the campaigns list, select "GJS44 v1.50 - June 11th" and click Download the Selected Campaign (bottom centre)
14. This should download everything that you need
15. Press X until you get back to the BA start screen and choose Multiplayer
16. Log in to Multiplayer as usual
17. Either go to the My Challenges tab and click the New Challenge arrow. This list will now show GJS'44 v1.50... Abbaye, Bretteville, Pegasus, Lebisey Woods, and Trungy.
18. Or go to the Accept Challenges tab and click the scenario that you're supposed to be fighting (if your opponent has already setup your game)
After all that, you can play GJS'44 on any platform... Phew!!

Totally awesome instructional vid by fellow gamer IDjester, explaining how to download and setup GJS'44... Thanks mate. NICE!

And remember to report immediately to Ranger and me if you find any bugs.

Hi Guardsman,

I'll help you. Just to make sure what screen you can't get past, could you please send me a PM with a screenshot of that screen?

I have had a development. Every time I delete the current game I can now go into campaign download with a view to typing in the thread but showing available for a download is the original Gottalove88s file I down load that and it gives me the same original games back. I delete them go back to the campaign screen and the same download is yet again available. If I type in the new thread that you posted it ignores me. What am I doing wrong. Forgive my ignorance I do not know how to PM a screen shot.
