I Just added some code in game.class that will hopefully fix the issue where the AI convoys hang if they are located in the same hex as Axis subs when starting to move a turn. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to upload the file here since I get the message that the attachment quota has been used up on this site.
So please send me a PM with your email address if you want this file sent to you. I will send it as a zip'ed file.
The update will NOT affect save games so you can add it without disruping any ongoing games.
It would be nice if you report your findings with the updated file here.

Re: Possible bugfix to AI game hanging on convoy movement
Will this address the issue of the game hanging up during the German AI turn (but not the allied AI turn)? My personal experience is that those hangs do not occur during convoy movement, and if it was convoy related then it would also happen in games against an allied AI.
Sorry if this is referring to some different fix than what you mentioned in the tech support forum.

Re: Possible bugfix to AI game hanging on convoy movement
I fixed the one where an autosave was attached. I checked the code line where it hung and fixed that. Then I tried the same autosave and it didn't hang. Without an autosave I can't find the bug that is being referred to.
The bug I fixed was related to movement of convoys. That happens at the end of the Axis turn. Convoys are NOT moving during the Allied turn. So you will see this bug during the Axis turn.
For some reason this doesn't seem to happen in PBEM games. The source of the problem is that a sub has ended up in the same hex as the convoy and that violates the one unit per hex rule. There is no logic to why that is happening because in PBEM games that doesn't happen even if you try to move a sub to the location of a convoy.

OK thanks, I'll try another game soon with the fix installed. If I get hung up again then I'll send another save file.

Thanks so much for this. The fix worked great and I could continue my game without restarting
