well with the .7.9 changes looks like i'm sorta done with SPM at least until the apollo program gets implemented.
i've practically completed SPM i 've got nothing for my personnel to work on, the only program
that i really have going is jupiter but i'm not gonna complete it.
no matter what i do as soon as the mission to jupiter gets above season 10 it fails EVERYTIME
the best i've done is season 16/20. now before you say do moon missions ok but i've done that to death
seriously i lost count after the 10th moon mission.
now on the subject of failed missions can we do something about the PASS/FAIL system thats in place right now
it just seems rather pointless to get no prestige for completing all these steps in a mission only the fail it on the last step
can't we work on some kind of system to get prestige for each step you complete and still lose some prestige if something fails?
also can we please get this added in when you fail a mission or part of mission it would be nice if the game told you WHY it failed
i.e. the aforementioned jupiter mission: "mission failed probe was destroyed by an asteroid" or "mission failed probe power supply failure"
just something so i'm not spending 5 min trying to figure out what happened.
another thing can we find some way to spend things up. more often then not i'm having several years go
by just because i can't send anything until it reaches max reliablity and even then theres still a chance it will fail.
how about this we get a mission a failure probality percentage at the program screen.
it would work out like this if the total reliablity for the program is below 40% then failure chance is 75%
if its between 40% and 65% then the failure chance is 50% between 65% and 80% failure chance is 25%
anything above 80% then failure chance would be 5%-0% sometyhing like that.
edit: just remebered something campaign is not impletmented right?
if thats true then why does my SANDBOX save file list the mode as campaign mode?
done?
Re: done?
Hello Woody,
Luckily (for the players!
), we're far from done. There's still lots of things that remain to be done, some of them are:
1) Tweaking of the scripts and the database in order to make the game's events match more closely to what happened in real-life (e.g., being able to perform a Moon landing before 1970). Some members of the community are already working on this one and you'll start to see the first few changes in the next update.
2) Improvements to the UI based on the suggestions posted by the players during the EAP (several of them are coming in the next patch, see the changelog.
3) The ability to mix-and-match rockets and payloads. This one will take a while to get done, because it involves a lot of work, but it's certainly coming. Again, luckily one member of the community is going to give me a hand fixing the animations so that what you see on the screen matches the components you selected.
4) The campaign mode (don't worry about what it says on the savefile).
5) The missing buildings in the space complex (e.g., the museum).
6) A new failure system for the missions. I'm getting help from some members of the community with this one but, just like 3), it's going to take a while before it gets deployed.
7) Many more things that we'll be announcing in January.
Cheers,
