I'm sorry I can't be more specific about Danny's army, but I didn't note it at the beginning and I can't now find anything beyond 'Pyrrhic' mentioned anywhere.

This was a closer game than the stats would suggest, with my heavy centre holding out over the Greek's heavy centre. The Gods of luck were on my side again today and Danny was unlucky having won both flanks.

A good tussle - the Pharoah's Egyptian infantry and the heavy chariots managed to hold off the Thracian flank attacks while his Greek mercenaries eventually overwhelmed the centre. Unfortunately Pharoah himself didn't fare too well ... (will future generations of children sing of his great deeds?). Thanks for the game!

Londo (Spartacus Slave MF) 25/45 defeated tullius (Early South Slav L) 34/34

The epic battle of Slavs versus Slaves! I was nervous about this at the beginning, given that I was taking an MF army against a cavalry army on an open map. A bad match-up for my boys.

But the Slav defensive spearmen didn't last long against armoured impact foot, and I luckily managed to trap some Slav LF, which got me over the line in BPs.
