otbc (Middle Hungarians) 28/31 defeated Praeter (HYW English) 33/32
Very close game with the Hungarian infantry for once doing something useful and getting the crucial routs to win

A win for IMC (Persians) 26/37 v mcfcivo (Pontic) 37/37.
Much closer than the score suggests. Stout defense by the Persians saw off the pike legions in the end.

Win for gamercb (Later Ptolemaic Greeks 18/29) against mchargmg (Mid Republican Romans 43/36)
The Romans took an early lead, but a collapse by the legions in the centre let them down. Closer than the score suggests and a great game (at least for me).
Thanks mchargmg.

Div. B
Epicouros (Later Serbian, Early) 14/34 beat CharlesWayneRobinson (Middle Hungarian) 36/36.
A game with a lot of cavalry action, as was to be expected with this matchup. When the Hungarian knights routed their Western mercenary counterparts and some other cavalry, they were in turn charged in the rear by other Serbian cavalry & infantry, with devastating results. The Hungarian general was among the victims. Meanwhile, the Hungarian poor medium archers failed to make a big difference.
A fine victory for the Serbians, though marred by the fact that their general managed to die shortly after the Hungarian one, with victory in sight...
