I wanted to extract this from the Mod section, just to show you the awesome potential of this game.





I have a working Dark Eldar ingame faction and roster
Still working on it, but as you can see, there is much more to the game you purchased than the current "here and now".

Looking good Aekar! After some experimenting with the files and editor, I'm toying with the idea of making a craftworld Eldar mod myself(balanced to be compatible with the vanilla factions), I wish you the best of luck in making their darker kin!

The Dark Eldar introduction campaign is now available for download.
Space raiders shall head here for their never-ending pleasure.


Unfortunately, it is just an introduction version, but at least it will show that things are going forward.
I add two screenshots here in the name of Commorragh ...

Looking great! Now i just need to finish the standard campaign first so that i can try out this mod.

Just a question though - aren't you worried that the upcoming patches (i believe 2 are scheduled for release this month) will mean that some of your work will have to be redone? The art stuff will be fine, but in terms of unit balancing, etc. don't you worry you might have to go back and change all the stats again, due to some changes from a patch?

The patch will overwrite the files in the /data branch ; I will need to reinsert lines into the 1.02 files, and re-release the mod.
The situation won't be changed beyond this ; I'll try to explain why below.


The Dark Eldar units and the tactical scale ruleset are not really balanced with the existing units.
But I don't want to modif the vanilla - it won't be good for players, and I respect the vanilla in every way - so I have to make new Imperial units already.
I believe it will also become a requirement as art-wise, I create units from miniatures... and they might not mix well with existing pixel arts.

On this path, I will eventually open the Imperial Guard Codex and create the whole faction anew.
It will be a good sign, as it will mean that more and more factions could join the mod and be balanced with each other.
But before that happens, I will use my own versions of the vanilla units.
