Another Expansion BESIDES SOVIET CORPS Coming This Year?!
"...the Panzer Corps series we released summer 2011, put in 23 patches and updates and next year in 2015 is still getting new Content, one of them announced being Sovied Corps but more TBA, so yes the proof will be in the pudding and on this one all I can say, keep the faith..."
LordZimoa, the CEO of Lordz Studios made this intriguing post over in the Warhammer forums. So some new content in addition to Soviet Corps is coming this year? What could it be? Anyone care to to speculate? I would love it if they made an Invasion: Amerika campaign set in the late 40's that lets us play around with all the awesome prototype Wunderwaffen and invade lots of familiar American locations.

My money is on the project Nikivdd is working on. Judging by his questions he asked here on the boards it will be probably an Allied Grand Campaign.

A project A and B?! Good luck Nikki! It is great to hear that we will be getting so much extra content. Really, this exceeds my wildest expectations! I was nervous that even Soviet Corps was never going to be released.

Any chance they would be able to develop a Pacific campaign like the old Pacific General game using the Panzer Corps engine? I know the new art sprites and maps would be some work but I imagine all of the other pieces are there. It would probably need a heavier reliance on naval warfare than Panzer Corps but I will keep on crossing my fingers! Maybe it would be its own game instead of another expansion.

Think there is some good news coming your way

Order of Battle : Pacific , might be just what you are after.

For those of us unfamiliar with Order of Battle, perhaps you could tell us a bit about the game, ie. the pros and cons of it vs. PzC? Slitherine's web page (http://www.slitherine.com/games/order_of_battle_pacific) doesn't really sell the game- mostly makes it look like a PzC knock-off where you have to learn a slightly different re-skinned UI for unclear reasons. Would help if someone who has played both could compare / contrast a bit.Loki1942 wrote:Warbringa wrote:Any chance they would be able to develop a Pacific campaign like the old Pacific General game using the Panzer Corps engine? I personally would love a Panzer Corps: Cold War turns Hot .... I think a '45 to '55 cold war add on would be perfect.

Order of Battle is not out yet so you wont get players telling you anything much as they are under NDA
The games play quite differently as Order of Battle has a strong naval and air component and supply is very important. You can cut units off and get them out of supply and you have to have enough supply sources to support the units in that supply area. So it plays quite differently.

I can guarantee that there are going to be Jap units and there are going to be US units. Lots of one type will probably die, lots of the other will live on and take stuff!IainMcNeil wrote:Order of Battle is not out yet so you wont get players telling you anything much

You'll get a pretty good idea how the game plays and can draw your own comparison to PzC.
