Hi. First, wonderful, excellent game Shenandoah!
Thank you for this picasso of digital art I can experience over & over.
If my questions are nooby understand I have never played this game in my life but I love turn based tactic/strategy sims and am no stranger to the genre. I learned about Battle of the Bulge over at pockettactics.com - so big ups to them for introducing me to this gem.
My three issues:
1) Where is this Meuse River I am supposed to protect as the allies?
2) Why "after" my first no movement day - some of my troops/armor cannot move, yet,two of my armors can?
Am I misunderstanding something here?
3) One of my infantry (In my dark green zone) has a red circle with a red line going through it- like a symbol they wrap around cigarettes in places where you are banned from smoking. What does this symbol mean?
I am aware if any of my troops/infantry are not within supply lines they cannot move.
That said, when I check the supply zones via the menu button, my infantry & armor whom cannot move are within (dark green zones) and the two armors that can move are in (light green zones) I am confused here. What does light/dark green zones have to do with movement. I am Allies, we represent green supply zones - so why the no move? I am truly lost.
My current game stats:
I am on day 16, 10am, 1944 (If this helps)
Thanks.
Where is the Meuse River? No movement - why?

Just a player, not the designer, but here's what you need to know:
1.) Look at your mission briefing "Objectives" at the start of the day -- that should make it clear.
2.) Allied Infantry cannot move on Dec. 16th due to Axis surprise attack. Armor can. Infantry can attack in their own area though. Don't forget that before the 16th Dec. day begins, the German has 3 per-dawn attacks.
3.) No smoking sign mean the unit cannot move, either due to the Dec. 16th rule for Allied infantry. Or due to lack of supply.
Hope this helps.

If you zoom in you will see the river names by each river. For the small scenario it starts just E of Liege and runs South of town Westward to Namur before turning South to bottom of boardtactfulgamer wrote: 1) Where is this Meuse River I am supposed to protect as the allies?

Thanks fellas.
Also, I have figured out you can only move one unit per day, I was not aware of this before.
The whole "this unit can be only activated once a day" threw me off initially.

The Daily Briefing should have information on the Meuse (under Objectives) and the first day’s special rules (under Surprise Attack).
We tried to cover the “once per day†in the Tutorial, was that not clear enough?

The Meuse has a bright turquiose shading on the northern and western banks.

Hmm. Just seeing this now.
What threw me off David was the "sectors" movement. Example, if you have 3 units in one sector, they can all move that same time. This threw me off initially. In my beginnings of playing I was expecting to move at least 3 units "once per day" even if located in different sectors.
Your tutorials were very clear. I am just a slow poke - not to worry though - people who have my same slowness in "grasping" the concept will get it. We not get put off, it's not complicated. You guys did an admirable job explaining the mechanics.
Thanks for responding and everybody else thanks as well.
