Re: Post here links to the SP scenarios you have created
Strange: I have just loaded my game scenario 'Fleurus' and their is no deployment phase...... If anybody else has a deployment phase on their version, please let me know...... Thank you. I am intrigued as I removed my original file and downloaded the scenario from the FTP so should be the same as yours Adebar.
There should be no deployment phase.

Re: Post here links to the SP scenarios you have created
Hm, I' definitely do have a deployment phase, although I have to admit that I have edited the scenario a bit: renamed the Catholics and replaced the English description with a German one. Perhaps I unintentionally screwed something up? If so, sorry to make a fuss.
Interesting remarks concerning the Spanish cavalry and the originally intented victory conditions. As for now, the scenario can be won without capturing the flags. Don't know how to solve that, maybe Richard can help. For the time being a remark in the descriptions would help: "If there are victory flags in this scenario - THROW ALL YOU HAVE ON THEM!"

EDIT: Mea culpa! I can actually confirm now that it was my fault. I must have hit the "Toggle Deployment Mode" button by chance. I'm sorry.

Nice work Miletus.... Enjoyable scenario, even though I did manage to lose by just 2%. A hard fought battle, and a lack of cavalry really reduces the options, a challenging but fun battle to play. Well done my friend. I must now go and read about this battle, as I have never heard of it before. Thanks....rbodleyscott wrote:Added

Thanks Warlord, glad you enjoyed it!

Re: Post here links to the SP scenarios you have created
Thanks for this scenario, Warlord!
Played it today ... and lost historically adequate.
The Scottish cavalry is worth almost nothing. Should have used them more defensive perhaps; anyway, the Parliamentary cavalry cut through them like a knife through butter.
The intensive exchange of fire on the whole front feels quite 'epic'. Tried to keep my units together and concentrate fire on single enemy ones. Worked well till two of my raw pike and shot pursued a beaten enemy and left a gaping hole in my left flank. Guess what Oliver's army did?
The AI did some great and sometimes unexpected stuff e.g. cavalry starting a frontal attack on a disrupted P&S unit - and breaks it (haven't seen that before).
As always, very well done map. Entertaining and exciting scenario; looking forward for more!

Hi Adebar
Good to hear from you. I haven't had much feedback on my scenario's lately, so I wasn't too sure how good or bad they were. Glad you enjoyed this one, I know it is very hard to win. The quality of the New Model Army is very hard for the scot's to stand against, and as soon as gaps appear in the line the battle is as good as over. My only advice is to try and get your veteran infantry into the front line as soon as possible, and do not place any faith in your cavalry except to mop up isolated and fragmented enemy units.
Regards......

Hello Warlord!
Good to hear from you too.- Yes, it's a bit quiet here. I always try to give some feedback as soon as I have played the new scenarios done by you or other designers. Rain am Lech, Lansdown and Frastanz are still on my to-do list ... Dunbar is my favourite of your scenarios so far, closely followed by Dessau. Looking forward to Lech, one of the few scenarios in which we can play the Imperial side.
Have a nice (remaining) weekend!

I don't comment here much but thank you guys so much for the scenarios you continue to create! I have the iPad version and it adds a ton of replayability to the game. So rest assured your work is being appreciated.

Thanks for your effort, I play Lech River 1632 and it is very good, i like it, i am very busy with my work, the new beta, my Ottoman Wars battles (Mohacs, Garam, St.Gotthard, Vienna, Slankamen), and my old first two battles LENS and Marciano, all SP and nearly finished.
This game with this powerful editor is really fantastic.

(I plan to do some scenarios too, want to start with Stadtlohn 1623. I will surely have several questions for you experienced designers ...

Re: Post here links to the SP scenarios you have created
Interlocutor's reduced ranges and movement mods have been temporarily removed from the ftp. (Actually they are still there, because we intend to reinstate them later, but they are temporarily disabled).
Unfortunately an issue with the way the program loads and reloads vanilla and custom versions of the same scripts means that the use of the mod was causing "scripts changed" errors in MP games, even in vanilla MP games after the mod has been used in the same session.
Unfortunately this means that the reduced ranges and movement mods will not work correctly with the current version of the program.
We are working on making them work with the next update, although the deadline for that is very close, and we may or may not be able to get the fix up and running in time. If not, we will get it working for the following update.
In the meantime, you need to delete the reduced ranges/movement mods from your system to get rid of the errors entirely. None of the other downloadable user content is affected.
You can delete the SP versions in the Historical menu.
Unfortunately, because the mods have no scenarios, the normal method of deleting the MP versions doesn't work. You therefore have to delete them manually. On the PC you will find their folders in
/My Documents/My Games/PIKEANDSHOT/MULTIPLAYER
Once again, because the normal method of deleting custom MP campaigns does not work (as this mod has no scenarios), on the iPad it isn't possible to delete them except by deleting the program and reinstalling it from the Cloud using the App Store. (Which fortunately is a fairly painless process). You will then need to re-download any other user content that you want on your iPad.

Both scenarios are looking very intersting, with unusual maps which offer a variety of tactical actions. Thanks!

Re: Post here links to the SP scenarios you have created
Well done Odenathus;
Very good scenario, I managed to lose in spectacular style, although I did manage to take the star fort. A great map, the hidden units in the woods constantly broke up my attacking formations and delayed many of my units. All in an exciting and fun scenario.
