Killl last aircraft on carrier deck doesnt work

Playing CoralSeaUSA I've got one last Japanese carrier with an aircraft on its deck that doesn't register as killed when I blow up the carrier. And the bugger won't launch, since the carrier either shoots, or repairs in its turn, which I guess prevents the aircraft from launching.

Either that, or there's a super-secret aircraft that I never see that stops me from getting the achievement.

Anyone else with the same issue?

An aircraft have withdrawn from battle that's why you didn't manage to shoot all of them

Yeah, I thought of that, but it would be incredibly unlikely. I killed every single aircraft that came onto my view at any point, except this one damn Zero that ran back to the carrier when I got it down to a few points of health.

For it to be a withdrawing aircraft, the game would have had to have a mechanism by which the aircraft just ran away without ever engaging, which I cannot imagine the dev's would have included as a game mechanic.

There should be 8 aircraft on coral. Kate n zero bottom and 2 zero 2 kanko and 2 kanbaku on top IIRC

Yep, I've killed all eight, and the achievement does not work.

I've now played the scenario about six times. Using the cheat commands for seeing everything, I can see all the aircraft, and I've scanned the entire map at the start of every turn before reloading, so I would be very confident that I've killed every aircraft in the scenario.

However I've killed some by sinking the carrier they are stationed on. Unfortunately I have never got to a position where I shoot them all down in the sky to positively validate that it isn't just a data error somehow on my machine.

My guess is, based on some very long and repetative playtesting, that it appears that the death of a plane is somehow not counted if it dies on a carrier deck rather than in the air?

Dev's - is this a potential for a check/fix?

I'll take a look. It should count air kills in hangar or carrier storage, but who knows

I always try to get all secondary missions. I tried Coral Sea 4 times. And never got that last plane. I'm pretty sure it's a bug.

Could it be that there are only 7 aircraft?

I know that there are 3 zero's and 3 torpedo bombers. But I only saw 1 dive bomber in my last game.

EDIT: Nope, that's not it. I used cheat to clear the FoW and there are 8 aircraft on the map.
