I have attached a screen shot from a steam account showing where the files are located.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
Actually, you should place them under mygames, the proper place for custom scenarios. At least that was what I was told during beta testing

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
I have a small SSD for windows and key programs. Games go onto an external drive so putting the game under mygames on the C drive wont work for me. Hopefully the developers read the forums and will take a look. Im enjoying Coral sea and at least people can join games I initiate. Odd I can initiate but cant join...
Thanks for your work on the scenarios, it people like you who make these games so interesting and enjoyable.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
You can install the game wherever you want. You only need to keep and use the personal files in the my games folder.
I guess you already use this as game options also resides here.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
Then you should setup your My Documents on the external disc as well really. It's fairly common practice to save custom data into this directory path.I have a small SSD for windows and key programs. Pasting or editing files in the game folders is something we strongly advice against, especially if you want to play multiplayer.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
Would it be difficult to convert these excellent multiplayer scenarios to single player scenarios. Struggling to decipher scenario design myself and
don't understand the file structure differences between single player and hotseat. Thx for any help.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
I do have plans to transfer MPs to single play. But I would eventually like to stitch a few of them together into a couple of campaigns. This means converting either naval scenarios or Marine Corps first. But it is a bit of work so don't expect something next week. Well, maybe a small custom campaign

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
Erik - just wanted to say thanks for taking the time to do all of the custom scenario work - it's much appreciated! I debated waiting for the iPad version since I thought I'd get more playtime with it - but now that I'm seeing the custom scenarios I think it was definitely worth getting the PC version.Erik wrote:I do have plans to transfer MPs to single play. Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
Thanks.
I will get the iPad version as well, mainly to kill a bit of time while commuting.
I hope at some point further down the line custom scenarios can be played on the iPad.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
After downloading Betio Island V6.1 it shows Jp AI in the filename. Is this the correct MP scenario file?
Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
Fixed Betio link (which was pointing to the single player version).
Burma 1942-45
OBS: 160 turns! The Burma Campaign took place over four years from 1942 to 1945. During the first year the Imperail Japanese Army had driven Commonwealth and Chinese forces out of Burma. After active campaigning ceased during the monsoon, the Allies launched two offensives, the Arakan campaign and the Chindit expedition. The raids by troops under Brigadier Wingate caused the Japanese to launch major offensives the following year. They failed miserably.

Imphal-Kohima
This is the third scenario in the Burma series.
The Japanese 15.Army under Lieutenant-General Renya Mutuguchi launched an offensive in March with the goal to invade India. He had played a part in several earlier Japanese victories, and believed it was his destiny to win the decisive battle of the war for Japan.
The Allies under Lieutenant-General William Slim were planning their own offensives from India and the Chinese province of Yunnan into Burma.
The stage was set for a major clash.
By fiddling around in the editor I discovered that you could spawn non-para units embarked in air transports. This is used in a large way by the Allies in this scenario.
These units may only land in an airfield hex with an objective flag, which is a nice way for a designer to restrict the landing options.

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
Erik, any chance of creating a multiplayer scenario that allow first player to control naval ship and second player to control air force? That was 2 players need to coordinate well and give me a chance to scream at my friend "where is my air support" lol Thx
Ps love your work and hard work hehehe

Re: Erik's Multiplayer Scenarios
That would probably not work with carriers since you would need to control both this and the air units to launch them.simcc wrote:Erik, any chance of creating a multiplayer scenario that allow first player to control naval ship and second player to control air force? But it should be doable to split other units between two players. Fairly easy for the Allies in my scenarios, but more complicated to do for the Japanese.
This is dependent on how the Alliances are set up in the editor as nations need to be adjacent to be part of the same Alliance.
You can't insert a nation without reworking most/all of the triggers/events. So I can add a new Allied player to the end, but not insert a New Japanese player in the middle (without reworking the scenario).

Midway updated.
Midway updated.
All units are now non-core.
More Japanese invasion transports.
The Japanese need 'only' sink 2 US carriers instead of all 3.
