This game is so good!

What an unexpected gem of a game! As someone who's played so many space empire games over many years, I have to say how impressed and pleased I am with this game.

Features that I particularly like include:

1. Research System
- Yes, you have basic science and applied science with specific practical advances.

2. Technologies
- They seem plausible to a layman like myself and are well thought out and described.
- Combined with the science system, this is feels very true to real life and increases my immersion.

3. Time scale
- I very much like that it takes years to achieve any goals in this game, whether that's building a star ship, or exploring, or researching new technologies, or building up a system. It takes us a long time to build spacecraft so again, this is immersive for me.
- I absolutely love that technology gives advances which form a plateau for a long period of time, so that there are distinct generations of starships. I don't like games where you build ships that are immediately obsolete.

4. Battle system
- It's fantastic! I have to consider my ship designs, technologies and despite only playing for a few days, I've managed to use good tactics to help me win several battles. For example, I did not launch my fighters early enough in one battle where my fleet was scattered and lost a ship that was ambushed by missile armed enemy fighters. After that, I learned the lesson and did much better in my battles.

I feel like I am leading an advanced civilisation in this game. Bravo! It's so immersive and one of the best space empire games I've played.
