Not much stir, nor even any thread in this forum yet, but Mare Nostrum is supposed to release today, galley warfare from 600 BC thru 50AD.
Looks good and will be a nice addition to the landward side of ancients gaming.

Re: Surf and Turf
That could be a welcome addition to a campaign game, where naval movement was significant like the Punic Wars.

Re: Surf and Turf
Thanks for letting us know! First I've heard of it and I'm excited.
Re: Surf and Turf
Just finished my first game of Mare Nostrum. I definitely enjoyed it. Looks like lot of replayability with all of the campaigns and skirmish mode, etc. I've been dreaming of a good war galley game for years and happy to see it finally come true. I really don't know why it was released with so little fanfare, though. I would happily fork out money for Ottoman or Byzantine-era DLCs or an Age of Sail variant. I still can't believe that there are not any good age of sail turn-based or WEGO games out there. Just arcade-like real time stuff where ships move around like speedboats.
