Unable to load multiplayer

I have attached a screen shot. When trying to login to multiplayer it says Connecting... forever. Tried to verify the steam files and still same issue.

Having the same issue starting today. It's not the firewall. I'm half way through 2 different multiplayer matches and I can't play my turn because the I can't get passed the "connecting. please wait" dialog on the multiplayer login. In fact, the UI becomes unreponsive. You can hit 'ESC' and bring up the settings dialog, but all the other controls along the bottom, including 'EXIT', are unresponsive. I have to go into the task manager to kill the applicaition.

Ya definitely not the firewall. I was playing just fine earlier today. Then after finishing one of my multiplayer turns this happened and will not go away. The problem is exactly as alfabit describes.

I have exactly the same problem with multiplayer recently.

Is anything being done to correct it?

I am using Steam but that shouldn't make any difference.

I know it's a probably a bad time to be asking!

same problem here on several occasions. I just sent a turn to a friend..it appears to have sent but the game still gives the trying to connect message. Also, previously upon trying to load his turn I could see that he had sent the game but i could not connect to it until i did a check integrity of game cache via steam and restarted the game. He is having same issues on his end.

Exactly the same issue as reported by others, I have two games in multiplayer that hang up on the Connecting Screen.

So last time this problem was fixed in a day or two. This time we are approaching a week and still no fix. Is the entire department that fixes the issue on holiday? Should we expect a fix after the new year?

yeah. i bought it a week ago for mp and wasnt able to play mp since then. i am playing sp now what is a bit of boring for me. feels
a little bit of a rip off to me. what is in the future? is this happen often? will you shut down the servers in the future? etc etc?

i am not satisfided with your product so far. heard "we will fix it in the near future" too often in my gamer career...

or to say it clearly: your product doenst hold it, what it says on its website (steam), my bad, that i played it for more then 2 hours without any DLC and i am stucked
now on steams regularities.

sorry everyone, the message was passed on twice, but as yet nothing back, was hoping a reboot would fix it or what else they do, but as of yet it seems it will be next week as i can't see it happening now over the weekend either
