Unable to load multiplayer

yeah. i bought it a week ago for mp and wasnt able to play mp since then. i am playing sp now what is a bit of boring for me. feels
a little bit of a rip off to me. what is in the future? is this happen often? will you shut down the servers in the future? etc etc?

i am not satisfided with your product so far. heard "we will fix it in the near future" too often in my gamer career...

or to say it clearly: your product doenst hold it, what it says on its website (steam), my bad, that i played it for more then 2 hours without any DLC and i am stucked
now on steams regularities.

It's Christmas mate, no one is working. What do you expect?

And lastly, you can ask for refund on Steam after 2 hours. Just say multiplayer is not working and it will most likely be refunded.

i wont to be harsh and i apriciate the great mod support at this forum. but they sell a pricy game (with all dlcs) and mp game mode. the
game is on sale at the christmas time, so a lot new people (including me) bought this game, maybe for mp purposes.
and the week between christmas and new year is a working week. i myself am working. and it seems, that this is not the first
time. maybe change your server hoster? a server hoster without an technical emergency hotline seems not too sirious to me...

So I've purchased the base game and US Pacific. Single player is fine but when I tried to connect to multiplayer it told me that I needed to update the game through the launcher. When I did this, it says it failed to connect to the server and to try again later or contact Slitherine. After advice from a friend I scrubbed the installation and started anew, as per http://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtop ... 5&start=60

After reinstalling and relaunching, multiplayer again asked me to update, which hung and required a restart but appeared to be successful (the game subtitle says it's version 5.2.2, whereas I downloaded 5.2.1). However, when I try to connect to multiplayer it says that there's a "PBEM error- request timed out". Any thoughts on this?

I downloaded it 24 hours ago and updated it literally fifteen minutes ago.

Now it's back to saying that I need to update through the launcher; then an error message that the update could not be downloaded.

then check the firewall and see why or it's it's stopped the update from coming, and while your at it, also the Anti virus, as some rubbish ones also stop it from running, normally Avast, but some others also do the same thing, but will be logged in the product for both AV and firewall etc

I have had trouble with the Slitherine updater in the past...although lately its been ok (knock on wood) I am not sure if you are a fan of steam but with your Slitherine purchase you should also have a code for steam. I bet it the game would update and function correctly going that route.

then don't use the game updater and download from your account, just go to the support tab above and login, there you will get access to all the games you own and have bought / registered and have access to the latest download version, but the latest update, as all file here are inclusive so only a base game install plus one update is ever needed
