Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.0 RELEASED)
I don't mean to be annoying, but I really like this mod and I was wondering what the status of the Russian campaign is

Well, Akkula went quiet few months ago, so we'll have to wait it seems.

Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.0 RELEASED)
Hello guys, lets back to business.
To answer the previous questions, yes, I plan to complete the Russian campaign someday.
I am thinking of release it in two or three parts in order to avoid the waiting for those who are interested in it. In that way I could release some update soon....
Some new work, the Norwegian Navy:

and some air and ground units:

Best regards,
Akkula.

Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.0 RELEASED)
More additions for the upcoming update. This time multipurpose submarines, several subs units will have the ability to fire their missiles to distant ground or naval targets.
Here we can see a Russian Antey Class submarine ready to fire her missiles:

Or her torpedoes:

This will be implemented to all the rest: Los Angeles, Ohio, Virginia, Seawolf, Astute, Yasen, Delfin, etc.
Regards,
Akkula.

Akkula,
Great to hear your are continuing work on this most awesome mod. I was afraid that you fell victim to the curse that seems to effect all modders who start a modern mod, something bad happens and it never gets finished.
You have already given us a playable mini campaign, and it`s great, and the newest screen shots look amazing. I wish you good luck in getting this wonderful content out to us hungry gamers who long to play on new battlefields with modern units!

A massive scenario it would be fun, for sure. But that is something I will consider when the Russian campaign is done.

By Typhoon you mean Akula right?, I do not use NATO classificationEstherr wrote:Coaxials ^.^ (and I saw Typhoon-class submarine somewhere aswellAkkula wrote: And an iconic unit finally makes it into the mod, the Kamov Ka-27M)

Yes the mod already have most of the submarine classes of the main military powers. Just some Russian variants are missing and of course the Trafalgar class from the British.

Re: Modern Conflicts (Version 1.0 RELEASED)
Thanks a lot for your kind words Jeff, appreciated!.
I am working against the clock and I expect to release the update during this week or this weekend. It will include 8 scenarios from the Russian campaign and a lot of improvements: graphics, units, balance and more.
Bonus:
TR-1700 class submarine from the Argentinian Navy, a little tribute to the ARA San Juan and her crew lost last year near the Islas Malvinas:

Here is the ARA San Juan and her sister ARA Santa Cruz.
Regards,
Akkula.
