Division D
Peterabb (Macedonians 328-321BC) defeats Kabill (Antigonids 320-301BC) 53 - 68
A very close encounter only won by the Macedonians because they choose to stand and fight to the very last man. One unit of elephants, normally at maximum strength of 20, were still fighting and only disrupted with 10 elephants left.

That's me out of the Themed Event.
. If anyone wants me, I'll be at the Rally Point, drinking mead and crying into a burly Gaul's shoulder. Good game Rex, I'm going to spend the next couple of games studying how to counter those lethal light cavalry of yours.

The half-way Time Control thread (July 6th)
As you should know by now Rule 3 states,
"Players must register one result in each section they have entered within three weeks, and three results within each section they have entered within five weeks (i.e. the halfway stage) of the opening of the tournament or they may be replaced by a player from the reserve list."
So there is a week to go and the situation, which is generally very good, looks like this (the players shown have completed less than 3 matches) . . .
Updated
Classical Antiquity
Division D - dkalenda 2
Late Antiquity
Division A - Dortmund 2
Division D - Supervark 2
Enemies of Rome
Division A - markwatson360 2
So not too bad at all. If you have completed no matches in a division, or if you still appear on this list more than once on July 6th (9pm BST), then you are likely to lose your place in at least one of those divisions. I will look at the overall match completion rates of players as well, so a player entering three sections who has completed 5, 4 and 2 matches will be OK (a player completing 4, 2 and 1 will not).
I will also send this post as a PM to all the players on it so nobody will be able to say, "I didn't know."
The list will be updated as more results come in.

If you need somebody to drink with you, I'll be there. I had to make the same bad experience against Nosy_rat's light cavalry today. From the first turn on I had the feeling not to have any chance against themI'll be at the Rally Point, drinking mead and crying into a burly Gaul's shoulder. Good game Rex, I'm going to spend the next couple of games studying how to counter those lethal light cavalry of yours.

Congrats, Nosy_rat!
