Weekly round-up

ruskicanuk (Seleucids) has posted 2 wins in Division A this week to move into a clear second place behind MikeC_81 (Jewish Revolt) while in Division B 2 wins for Nosy_Rat (Sassanids) saw him also move into second place ahead of Ludendorf (Huns). Division C remains incredibly close with Morbio (Jewish Revolt) moving to the top after a tied match with Ulysisgrunt (Romans). Speedy CM (Romano-British), GDod (Spanish, Sertorius), XLegione (Huns) and dkalenda (Palmyrans) still have a chance to win this very competitive division. At the bottom, Jakdaw's (Hepthalites) very narrow victory over MikeMUC (Pictish) means that MikeMUC is relegated. Greyhunter3 (Seleucids) is still the clear leader in Division D despite a rare defeat this week. He is being pursued by IMC (Galatians) has 4 wins from 6 matches and oscarius (Dacians) who has 3 wins from 4 starts.

Div C

Morbio (Jweish Revolt) beat SpeedyCM (Romano-British): 65-40


It started well for the Jews with many turns of unanswered missile fire weakening the advancing Brits and giving a 9-0 lead, but the Jews didn't know when to run away and numerous skirmishers got caught and the balance was almost redressed. Then the superior zealots hammered the line and re-established a lead before being drawn out of line to be beaten in return. The Romano-Brits pulled back and their superior numbers were telling, but enough damage was done for the Jews to take the field. It was closer than the score indicates and if it had been last man standing the Romano-Brits would have won.
