Will 'FOG:E' be available on GOG?

Field of Glory: Empires is a grand strategy game in which you will have to move in an intricate and living tapestry of nations and tribes, each one with their distinctive culture.
Set in Europe and in the Mediterranean Area during the Classical Age, experience what truly means to manage an Empire.

Will 'FOG:E' be available on GOG?

Post by MojoAmok »

I notice that Fantasy Generals 2 has a GOG page, but 'FOG:E' does not, so I was wondering if it would be available for purchase there. Yay or nay?

A related question: I'm not averse to Steam, but have FOG 2 on GOG, so if I have the DRM free version of FOG 2, would I be able to sync the battles with a Steam version of 'FOG:E'?

Thanks!

Does anyone have an answer to this by chance? Would like to pick up FOG2 on sale at GOG, but not if it won't be compatible with FOG:E if it's purchased on Steam. Thanks!

This was posted by Pip from Slitherine on 18th of May (see the thread "Compatibility problems ?" in this forum)......

The game is definitely designed to work correctly with different SKUs talking to each other, so you can go with your preferred storefront.

Cheers

Pip

Hope that helps

Thanks devoncop. Did a search but evidently I wasn't searching for the proper terms. Appreciate the info!

Yes, thanks for the heads up, Devoncop. It seems like it might not come to GOG, but it doesn't really matter to me in practice given the arrangement here.

One of the many benefits of the Slitherene products...you don't need GOG.
PLUS...you, almost, always get a Steam key for the Steam fans.
GOG does not do that...ever.

And you don't need Steam too, Slitherine produts are not dependant from Steam.
No 3rd party software (such as Steam) is to be installed in addition to their games.

Exactly, that is why I always buy from Slitherene/Matrix.
I recognize, however, the convience & popularity of Steam...just not a big fan. :)
