I read somewhere that the sandbags hardly stressed the suspension of tanks that much:

Yes, the sandbags graphic seems different in 7.1.8.
In fact I seem to be noticing other little graphics changes and glitches that weren't there in 7.1.6, or am I imagining it?
Here are just a few 7.1.8 screenshots-
The Panther looks messed up, and there's a spooky black line on the Sherman at top right.
Big pic- The line also appears on other tanks at certain zoomout levels, but disappears when zoomed in (inset).
PS- in another thread somewhere a guy said that he's noticing a glitch where tank treads can sometimes be seen through the hulls of various tanks at certain angles, and I've noticed that too.
Did the devs mess with the 7.1.8 graphics or what?

Version 7.1.8 isnt playable with this graphical glitches .Did the devs mess with the 7.1.8 graphics or what?
Its a shame to offer such a thing - without fix for 5 days yet.
We should give the game back to Steam yet - is not possible to go back to an earlier version, which works !

Here are a couple more 7.1.8 glitches, the Hellcat tracks are visible through the hull, and there are jagged black shapes on trucks-

Man, this update was not a triumph :/
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v7.1.8 is available
Apologies for the new issues you've all found, this is likely due to our dev team moving from an older unity version to the latest. We've planned for a lot of refactoring and cleaning of the legacy code, as well as optimisations and performance improvements for the future updates and DLCs. Please bear with us while we go through this transition.
Many thanks!

Yes yes - many Thanks... What do you think - how many weeks we should play now with this destroyed OoB version ?Apologies for the new issues you've all found, this is likely due to our dev team moving from an older unity version to the latest. While the graphics issues are real, the game is not 'destroyed'.
I'm still playing and enjoying my multiplayer games

Major code changes always lead to new issues but is important to keep track with technology! As much as everyone loved Windows XP, it'd be pretty bad if we still used it.

Is there not a Mac update? Also, the general download for the Mac comes down as a .exe (once you unzip) which isn't quite right either

I agree here with Erik. I'm still playing a campaign when I get time. Yeah the graphics are messed up but not enough to not play the game!
It'll get fixed, no worries.

Hmmm, do plan an upgrade for Mac as well? I am still sitting with 7.1.4
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v7.1.8 is available
How far we are from resolving actual graphics issues? Game is not broken, but not so nice like it was ...
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v7.1.8 is available
I wrote a mail to steam now - I like my money back - unplayable game now !
Re: Order of Battle: World War II - v7.1.8 is available
I've nevertheless (finally) played through the whole Sandstorm campaign with v7.1.8, so I guess it's not unplayable for everyone.
I didn't really bother after a while that all my tanks looked like bridge-layer tanks when zooming out.

What game version have you got? The current latest version is 7.1.8.
Version 8.0.4 was accidentally released on Steam but it's not finished so they withdrew it.
Steam are usually good at refunds, they refunded me with X-Plane 11 last week because I told them it was buggy, light aircraft have no built-in stability and a roll slowly develops no matter how carefully you try to trim them.
