Where is the fun?
Im not having any fun with game, but frustration. You should have more choices on the map screen, you should be able to choose between scenarios like in FG1.
Re: Where is the fun?
welcome to the forum, fun depends on your gaming likes and dislike and if you like the type of game Fantasy General II is, for me it's no different than the first, plays better and looks better imo, but as i enjoyed the first, having a more updated and better engine is a bonus, so it all comes down to choice.
Re: Where is the fun?
I aggre with MasterKrell , I wish I had the choice to explore a cave or visit a ruined tower, the map is really too linear.

I see this game like chess, pure strategy. Fun is subjective.
You should try something like Age Of Wonders 3.

I am not quite sure what you mean? In our maps we have caves, ruins, shrines, blood oaks, camps and all kinds of different locations, ome even with dialogue and events. Look for the white squares on the mini9 map.
Making Fantasy General 2

Well, fun, like beauty, belongs to the one experiencing. I am having a lot of fun. Seems to me Owned by Gravity singlehandedly remade the genre with this release. Beauty also, like the devil, can be in the details.

Re: Where is the fun?
I really didnt expect that linear conquest map, if anyone here has played FG1, should know what Im talking about. I miss the freedom to skip certain maps, maybe I want to conquer it with different path, but you are forced to play scenario after scenario. I really expected different experience, too bad there is no voice acting in there, with that price there should have been more content in the game.
Re: Where is the fun?
FG1 has options to pick one map or the next and you have also exactly the same thing in FG2. You can attack either of the barbarian tribes for example early on after you got the trolls to join you. Same as FG1 so I don't get any of your points.

--> there is no optional maps with only exploration . Only scenarios maps int he game . Far exemple, before doing the 5th maps in the campaign, why are'nt they some places on the world maps we could explore ? to get more gold or more materials? It is so easy to make plenty of small maps besides the campaigns maps with no timer.

There aren't more places because you are trying to raid the enemy and take a superior enemy unaware, so if you wandered around, they could easily regroup and crush you? Otherwise said, it wouldn't make any sens story-wise?jeffoot77 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 5:09 pm "I am not quite sure what you mean? Plus I believe the dragon isle is a completely optional map that you may or may not do, depending on how you handled the dragon before and whether you want to go there or not.

The campaign map is really huge !
I hope they implement new campaigns on it with DLCs which may or may not be linked to the main campaign.
I´m looking forward to it since the game is one of the best TBS games of the last years. And it´s really challenging - on normal mode !!!
