Hi,
I have come back to the game after a bit of an absence. This led to an update which resolved a prior question about display.
But, it raised a question about combat. Before, when a battle started, I could first organize my fleet into a formation, and then direct the movements of each ship. Now, I can do neither. Am I missing something, or is this a new feature?

Are you attacking or being attacked?

Re: Battle Question
I am on the attack.
However, I was previously able to move units even when defending.

Re: Battle Question
The defending side is given the preparation stage. The attacking side starts "as is", except ships with Hyperjump Control Module (late technology).

Re: Battle Question
Thank you.
A follow-up:
Once the battle is started, do I have any direct control over ship movements? Can I, for example try to get those on the wings to come closer?

Re: Battle Question
Perhaps I am getting closer.
If it is true that I can influence the movements of ships during battle, how do I? it used to be you could select a ship and then create a course for it to follow using the cursor. This no longer seems to be true.

Re: Battle Question
Nothing radically changed in the battle control. Perhaps you need to (re)read the manual (in the Manuals sub-directory) and (re)play the tutorial.

Re: Battle Question
Hi,
It is good to hear that things did not change. Yet, still I have a problem. I think the program is not recognizing my right mouse button - I can select a ship, but cannot give it anyplace to go. This is not the way it was before. Note, I have a newer computer, an "upgrade" to Windows 10, and I downloaded the most recent package.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
