"I was asking specifically about "unit awards not consistently applied to stats".
almost any unit award earned on a particular unit (+1 SA, +1HA, etc.) It often doesn't get reflected in the stats-- yet sometimes it does. And when it doesn't get reflected in the unit stats it also doesn't get reflected in the combat log (at least this part is very consistent.)
But at the start of the next scenario, virtually NONE of the unit rewards are reflected in the unit stats (again, there seems to be the occasional (random?) exception).
The only way to get them to show up is to upgrade/downgrade your unit, then back to the original-- voila! the stats now reflect the award(s)! BUT if you then save the game, exit entirely, then restart & reload the save, the stats have usually reset to the base values. Have to do the upgrade/downgrade thing all over again-- a real pain. Not a big deal early on, but late in campaign when virtually everyone has awards it sucks.
Edit: Save game showing effect sent.

I'm not too well acquainted with these issues myself... try to endure my ignorance, so... anyway!... to begin with... I will point out the 'obvious consternations'.
***aircraft CD not being used when it should be***
ISSUE: Unit awards not being applied?.
Suggestion: At the end of the 'said' "Combat-Exchange", why-not have a 'Pop-Up' option available on the Game-Screen while the Game is paused... for those who would prefer it... to then for themselves... to see if... and how exactly the 'Award' is being applied!.
***at the start of the next scenario, virtually NONE of the unit rewards are reflected in the unit stats***
ISSUE: Accumulated reward upgrades not being carried over into the next Game scenario phase?.
Suggestion: Before the beginning or commencement of the next 'Scenario'... have a 'Visual-Indicator' displayed_ 'Pop-Up' ... showing that "in-fact"... that the previous 'Award-Accoutrements' have actually been successfully transferred over to the next 'Scenario' commencement!.

Re: "Retributarr Response Comment":
Basically, the issue was that certain bonuses and awards were not being reflected in combat "as advertised", and also were not being reflected (i.e., carried over) in at least some unit stats for the next scenario. Personally, don't think new mechanisms are needed, just to to fix the existing ones. Bug has been acknowledged and will be fixed in upcoming patch. Hopefully today (he said, wistfully)...

Re: Next Patch?
It’s rather disturbing that a patch that was reported to be ready by the developer almost 2 weeks ago is still not released. I do not remember choosing a “delayed support” trait when I purchased the program.
Re: Next Patch?
If you complain about them giving a patch date estimate, I don't think it's going to make the patch come faster.
It's only going to make them less likely to give future estimates instead of at least trying to give us 'best guesses'.
Of course no one likes when things go a little overdue, but personally I much prefer to at least know things are being worked on instead of just being completely left in the dark.
I also prefer good patches, not rushed ones that require more hotfixing and additional patching to patch the things the patch broke. Plenty of other games already do those shenanigans.

Hi Kerensky,
"If you complain about them giving a patch date estimate, I don't think it's going to make the patch come faster and I also prefer good patches, not rushed ones that require more hotfixing and additional patching to patch the things the patch broke. "
Normally, fairly good points but in this case it was not a request for when a patch was going to be finished but that the Developer said that the patch was ready and just needed to be published. Since I trust the developer in this case more than the publisher I tend to side in his favor. In any case ***WHY*"" if the developer says a patch is ready for release and, after 2 weeks it has not materialized and there been no further communication? That's just extremely shoddy customer service. If the patch was found to have an issue then report it. Otherwise it looks like the publisher is purposely withholding it for their own agenda.

Re: Next Patch?
Considering that on the 11th April it was stated "if all goes well it should be ready for Thursday or Friday next week" then where are you getting your "it was ready 2 weeks ago" from? The ETA form that statement would have been 16th/17th April. At worst the patch is only 2 working days late at the moment!kverdon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 4:55 am Hi Kerensky,

Since then Rudankort has also posted asking for some more information on specific issues. Its fair to say it is being worked on. Better to do it right than to do it twice.
Some developers never give ETA's for patches because exactly this sort of thing happens. People start moaning if its delayed. Maybe they discovered something wasn't fixed right, maybe something is proving harder to fix than originally estimated, perhaps a fix broke something else or perhaps they're struggling a bit because the whole world is on lock down and they're not a full capacity!
What ever the reason just be patient, Its not like the game is unplayable at the moment and these fixes will come. This is a developer AND a publisher we can trust to fix their games as required.
Re: Next Patch?
I am looking forward to the patch. But no complaints here whatsoever.

Re: Next Patch?
If I make a list of strategy games that I have gone back to time and again (as opposed to play it for a few months and never look at it again) it looks something like this.....colberki wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 10:57 am I agree that with the trusting the developer/publisher comments. Been buying their games for 20+ years? (counting Matrixgames which they now own). I am looking for to the patch. But no complains or moaning here whatsoever. Meanwhile I restart my 1939 campaign for the umpteen time to experiment with the traits and killer team rolls.![]()
Rome: Total War
Star Wars Supremacy/Rebellion
XCOM (the 2012 remake, with Long War mod)
Legion
Chariots of War
Spartan (and gates of Troy)
Commander - Europe at war
Battle academy
Panzer General (not actually played it since PC was released)
Panzer Corps
Hanibal- Rome and Carthage
John Tillers campaign series (Matrix support now but originally Talonsoft back in the day)
Armada 2526
War of the Lance (Kudos if you remember this one, very old school!)
Battle Tech
Lords of Midnight (From the good old Spectrum 48k! Still play it through every now and again on an emulator)
All the ones in bold are Slitherine/Matrix games. Battlestar Galactica deadlock should probably also be on the list as I really enjoyed it but haven't played it enough to say for certain. PC2 is almosy certainly going to be on this list in the future.
I liked a few Paradox games (CK2 & HOI4) but the only one I've reinstalled after deleting it following a few play throughs is Battle Tech. The Civ series has also had a fairly good run with me but again I never feel the urge to go back. I'm sure there are many other great games (and maybe 1 or 2 I've forgotten that should be on the list)
Anyway that was an awfully long winded way of saying - trust in Slitherine, they don't tend to disappoint and they DO NOT like leaving games unfixed!

Re: Next Patch?
Nice list, My top all time is Panzer Corps - Grand Campaigns and the GTPC mod by nikivd. I am partial to Total War II, but Rome Total War was really good too. I played the Spartan series a bit, Commander, and I still have the oldie War of the Lance saved somewhere on my computer."If I make a list of strategy games that I have gone back to time and again (as opposed to play it for a few months and never look at it again) it looks something like this.....

Truth is that if they build up the editor for campaigns, PC2 has the ability to overtake PC1. My hope is they allow the random scenarios to be built into random campaigns covering a selected time period.
Re: Next Patch?
Yeah my list is not in any particular order. Lords of midnight has a special place in my heart as it was the first game I sat down and played with my Dad way back when. (The game came out in the 80's and I can still remember the name of all the characters and which key they bind to!)TJLionheart wrote: ↑Thu Apr 23, 2020 1:53 pm

Rome: Total war probably has the most hours played of any game ever for me followed by I'd guess maybe PC or PG.
I think PC2 will surpass PC in time. Its got a very solid start and truth be told I think the base campaign is worlds better than the base campaign in PC. And thanks to the AAR section here I can still well remember my first time playing it.

Woo Hoo! Just in time for the weekend! Thanks for the great support-- lot more here than expected!

Re: Next Patch?
Thanks for the patch. Already can see that AI is more capable, playing the Bug River scenario. Nice. More challenging and more fun.

Reading the changelog I am tempted to start a new campaign.

I'm to close to the end of my first campaign for that! If I was still near the beginning of have definately considered it.
