This does look like a very good idea. I'm heavy into HOI2, which I love. But, I'd be very interested in Slitherine's TBS version. Glad to see Mac listed as one of the platforms.

There must be an AI because it mentions scripting which is similiar to what SC2 has. Glad to see another turn based and in this case HEX BASED entry into the WWII strategic front fold!!!!

OMG, I'm drooling in my lap here!

Looking at the southern edge of the map, just west of the Nile delta, in the area of the Qattara depression there, what's that little rust-red bit?

And can you perhaps tell us a bit more about Firepower Entertainment? Who are they, and what have they done? Are there any recognisable names on their staff?

WW2 game

Post by pompousdivinus »

...er...I don't want to piss on your parade but aren't there quite a lot similar strategy WW2 games out there (Paradox, Hearts of Iron, Strategic Command etc.) what about WW1 for a change ?!!
(Or is this just another prototype idea that puffs into nothing like legion II that was abandoned since there was
already a (= 1; quote: "one" ) similar game (RTW) existing  )

No there are not.

They all have flaws. None come near the original - Avalon Hill's Third Reich.

We players hope this game can filll the gap.

....and yes, btw that reminds me of....

Post by pompousdivinus »

the "game that beats the Civilization series" project that " is really developing into a whole new game system"...
...ah, of course: given the magnitude of the brilliant design I understand that development has to take place in total secrecy, enigma style....

I'd be interested to find out who said Legion II was not still going to happen? It wasn't one of us ;)

...so then you're working on War Commander, "the game that beats Civilisation" and Legion II at the same time...ok,ok stand corrected...I wasn't aware that you are that assiduous at Slitherine.
Er, when will you have finished ?!
