AI fog of war

Post by prattaa »

Does anybody know how the AI artillery circled in red has awareness of my artillery circled in blue? I have never seen the AI use the bombard hex skill before and I have 1300+ hours in OOB. Are they getting visibility around the exit hex?

This is from the Approaching Stalingrad scenario in the Panzerkrieg campaign.

I can see a Russian plane in the middle center, where did that fly in the AI's last turn?

That's a Ju 88 over the 6 strength Soviet conscript infantry.

I think the Russian infantry surrounded by yellow can see your artillery. It seems to me that visibility is better over lakes or over the sea:

LOS rules continued...

How is the engineer unit in red getting mortar'd by the heavy infantry unit in blue? Does visibility over water ignore concealment too?

No, it's a special case in this scen: the Soviets get some visibility inside the city through triggers ('cause of the arty units on the islands I guess).

PS: I've recognized this as the Panzerkrieg/Stalingrad scen, but could you PLEASE also mention the DLC/scen you're referring to next time...
