Dear General Plow,

We write this letter from our main underground resistance cell in the East End of London. Your liason officers have suggested that a large Allied force is gathering, preparing to commence the liberation of Western Europe. We write this letter to urge you to make the liberation of the English homeland your first priority. Our productive capacity once liberated will present to the glorious Allies are more substantial bonus than the occupation of conquered France would.

We are sure that with our homeland once again seeing the light of freedom spread across our lands, the people would rise up in solidarity and provide, along with the English Resistance, valuable supporting units to assist in the liberation of Western Europe.

Sincerely,

Agent Havok
English Resistance
East End, 74 7EE UK
Dear Commander of the English Resistance,

Your valiant effort in harassing and demoralizing Nazi troops has not gone unnoticed. Your efforts are vital to the war effort and everyone here at Allied Command salutes you and your comrades for all your courageous actions! Although we cant say exactly what our plans are in case this message gets intercepted, just know "Long sobs of autumn violins" and "soothe my heart with a monotonous languor" and take these to heart. You have all done a damn good job and every British citizen is in your debt.
Keep up the good fight!

Sincerely,

General Plow
Allied Command

Allied Situation

All fronts repair, rest, and upgrade in preparation for Summer offensives. In the east, Soviet forces led by Marshall Zhukov will smash through the enemy front on the approaches to Minsk. Simultaneously in the west, Anglo-American forces will storm the beaches of Southern England and secure the Island to be used for the future invasion of France. The tentative date for these operations has yet to be set, but will most likely be sometime in July.

Allied Situation

Preparations continue on all fronts for the summer offensive which is our last chance to turn the tide of this terrible war. In the Mediterranean, Allied troops are on the approaches to Tripoli and should liberate the city soon. In the Atlantic, Allied Naval assets prepare to escort the large invasion fleet to Southern England. Along the Eastern Front, a large Soviet troop troop buildup is occurs near the outskirts of Minsk. The Summer Offensive date is approaching and should be occurring in July when our glorious troops beat back the Fascist invaders along all fronts. As the date draws closer, an Allied Objectives and Strategy map with be created to depict our plans and tactics to destroy the Wehrmacht and liberate territory. Glory to the free world! We will succeed!

Allied Situation

The Allies are conducting a grand undertaking, large amounts of aircraft, infantry, and tanks are being redistributed around the various theatres. Unfortunately there is not enough time to move all the assets in place by the launch date, so the offensive has been postponed until August/September to make sure the Allies have sufficient force.

Russian offensive should start in june or as early as possible. if you start in september, you have only 4-5 turns before winter comes so you won't make good progress even if offensive is successful.

there are 2 years and then germany wins if they hold berlin. allies should be way more aggressive if they wonna have a chance to win this game.

"You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade, toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you..."

Eastern Front

This is it, Operation Autumn Wind will now occur very shortly after months of delays. The glorious Red Army will either vanquish the Fascist dogs from the Soviet Union or break its back through attritional warfare. All sections of the front will advance, however as seen in the Planning map, the brunt of our force will attack near Minsk. Our goals will be to liberate Minsk and destroy as many German aircraft on the ground as possible as the Luftwaffe surpasses the Red Airforce in every way. However, our airforce will provide as much support as possible even though the Germans have air superiority. Hopefully our troops can break through the Wehrmacht initial defence lines and inflict many casualties upon them! Glory to the Motherland!

This situation map was drawn up before a large force of Mechanized Infantry arrived to bolster our offensive.

Western Front

The Anglo-American invasion force is about to set sail to liberate England. The landing zone will be near Scotland to allow our invasion force to be partially covered by bombers in Greenland and Iceland in addition to our naval escorts. Unfortunately our air support is weak, so this operation is planned to occur a few weeks after the Soviet offensive in the hope that enemy airpower will be drawn to the East. If our force can make it ashore intact, and we can initially capture a city, then there is high hopes England can be liberated. If our trusted advisors have any other good potential landing grounds to liberate England, or any other ideas for our force, they would be much appreciated!

Very badly. Even though I've been maxing my labs (within BJR houserules) in the key areas, my army and airforce are still quite below the quality of the Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe. I blame it on a combination of some lazy scientists (who may or may not be shot as a result :D) and bad luck.

Do you still hold Scapa Flow? If so you can land in northern Scotland and trace supply from there.

I do hold Scapa Flow, that is a brilliant idea! So you are suggesting our troops land in the Northeast of Scotland then, to have a "link" with Scapa Flow?

Thanks for the help!

You're welcome. Scapa Flow will give you supply level 3. That's as good as it gets until you liberate London. Personally, I'd land in Scotland next to the port and spread out from there. By the way, you still control the port so you can dock and disembark a unit from there too. That port will provide a another level of safety to getting units into Scotland.

Western Front

Under heavy naval escort, the Anglo-American invasion fleet departs to liberate England. There is much hope that the operation will be a success, but only time will tell...

Eastern Front

The offensive was unexpectedly delayed by Soviet High Command due to "unfavorable weather", though this excuse is dubious at best...

Chaos, chaos everywhere.

Eastern Front

Carnage. Very heavy fighting near Minsk as the offensive turns into "meat grinder" attritional warfare. Our Glorious Red Army troops surge at the enemy and fight fiercely against the Fascist Dogs. Unfortunately the offensive, due to untold reasons, is highly censored with only the highest level of Commanders able to witness the grand scope of this battle.

Western Front

The invasion force will soon be landing under heavy fire in Scotland. Our troops have practiced this invasion for years, and new technologies created effective winter amphibious landings, allowing the Anglo-American forces to land in late fall when amphibious operations would have normally met with disaster(jjdenver allowed this). Good luck boys, the eyes of the world are all upon you! For Freedom!

North Africa

In a successful victory, our troops capture Tripoli and begin the long North African offensive to liberate Egypt.
