1939 is available now for all owners of the Field Marshal Edition of Panzer Corps 2

All players who own the Field Marshal Edition of Panzer Corps 2 are now able to update the game through the updater on the Slitherine launcher and download the second DLC, 1939.

1939 is the second DLC in the Axis Operations series, an ambitious series of linked DLCs representing the entirety of World War II from the perspective of the Wehrmacht.

With the valuable lessons learned from the Spanish Civil War behind them, Germany turns towards the rest of Europe with vengeance in its eyes. Vengeance for the treatment of their country under the despised Treaty of Versailles.

Whiles the Allies attempt to pursue their strategy of Appeasement, Germany moves to secure more and more lost territory. After the 1938 annexation of the Sudetenland, the decision is made to gobble up the rest of Czechoslovakia. Once again, your Wehrmacht forces are called to action...

For everyone else the DLC will be released next week, on August 27th.

If you own the Field Marshal Edition of Panzer Corps 2, you will be able to update your version of Panzer Corps 2 by running the launcher for the game and run the automatic updater. The DLC and the accompanying patch will then be downloaded and installed.

Important: unfortunately we have run a bit late with localizations. Localization in languages other than English are incomplete and might have unlocalized strings. We apologize for the problem and we acknowledge it is our fault. We are working to complete them as quickly as we can, and it should be a matter of days before they are fixed.

The DLC is accompanied by a patch, Patch 1.1.8.

v1.1.8 Changelog:

- Added localizations for 1939
- Added new UI for transferring core force from one campaign to another
- Added "limited deployment" functionality. When the size of player's core exceeds the number of slots in a scenario, some units must be moved to Reserve before deployment can be made.
- "Leadership" and "Aiming Assistance" heroes now affect all adjacent units (both ground and air)
- Minor tweaks and fixes

It's not just you. I tried no luck, got error message. I checked my page for downloads , latest download is for Spanish Civil War. Can't download until its posted.

Tried to reinstalled the patch, now the game crashes after cival war.
Should I use the option to activate the dlc or install as normal?

What does your Panzer Corps 2 Properties DLC Tab look like?

For me, I downloaded the update today and see access to 1939 as expected, and no issue launching or playing the campaign.

And for me, it looks like this:



Note FM Edition Upgrade checked and installed, and both Axis Operations DLC checked and installed.

Downloaded & installed update v1.01.08. PC2 face plate shows v1.01.08. 1939 does not show up under Axis Campaigns!!!!!

I bought my copy through Slitherine. I do not use Steam as it is such a pain in the ass.

I have steam and no issues. Works great.

Edit: While the game is working fine on Steam I looked at my listed DLCs and it says I have SCW but it does not show 1939. I believe it did this for me last time as well with the SCW release. Even though SCW updated and worked correctly, it only showed in my listed DLCs when it was released to the general market, but not when released just to FM purchasers. However, in game everything seems to be functioning correctly and I can access it correctly.

My gog version had the same problem. I fixed it with a manual download of the dlc and a manual installation. Works perfectly, hope it will help you.

I will try to install it manually, as suggested by o_t_d_x. (I am running Windows 10 on a HDD, so it will take me another three hours until I can report whether that solution has worked for me.)

I don't have the Axis Operations - 1939 visible, in game however I can see/select/play it.
(on a sidenote I can also buy and deploy artillery as that seemed to be another issue)

I have reinstalled the DLC manually. It still does not work for me. The DLC does not appear in the campaign menu.

When I load the last turn of the last SCW scenario, and finish that last turn, I am invited to proceed to the 1939 DLC. However, after having been able to enjoy the briefing for the first scenario, the following error appears:
"This content requires a DLC in order to play. Please make sure that the right DLC is installed and try again."

I have also tried to activate the DLC as an alternative to a full reinstallation of 1.1.8. However, while PC2, PC2 - SCW, and Bonus Content are listed, no new DLC was detected and no new product could be selected to be activated.

I am disappointed.

We're sorry that there are technical issues with the Slitherine version. We're looking into it and working on fixing it as soon as possible. We'll keep you posted.

Same here - the GOG version had to be manually updated on my end since it did not pick this new update on its own. That was however quite quick and easy to adjust, so hopefully it will work the same in non-GOG versions as well.

The Slitherine version has now been updated and fixed. You should be able to download the update and now the 1939 campaign should show up.

I own panzer corps 2 Field Marshal(steamdb SubID 427590) but until today it only show that I own 3 dlc which is
Axis Operations - Spanish Civil war
Field Marshal Edition Upgrade
Generals Edition Upgrade

I think they forget about this steamdb SubID 427590 also need to update to include 1939dlc
