Salve fratres!
I have I question about a matter that I believe was already "taken under discussion" after the release of Wolf at the Gates. Namely, will FoG 2 Medieval feature any Polabian or Pomeranian list (or joined Polabian-Pomeranian list) to represent pagan Western Slavs?
Considering that this game will be initially focused on Northern and Central Europe with at least some emphasis on Northern Crusades I hope that Wendish Crusade won't be left out.

The 'Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD' is an army list that covers, among others, the Slavic Wends.

We lacked sufficient information to significantly differentiate them. Once the game is released, if you are able to research a separate Wendish list that we are happy with, we can perhaps add it in a later update. But wait till you see how the joint list is defined in game so you can properly determine how you think the Wendish list should differ.

In my experience, they're generally very good with listening to community suggestions on army lists. Put together a list with some supporting documentation, and I bet it'll be included. It will definitely help if you can map your suggested list to existing unit types (medium infantry/cavalry/light foot/etc).

Thanks, mate. Yeah, I'm already working on it. From what I saw so far the Baltic Army list that is supposed to cover Wends as well consists mainly of lightly protected impact foot.Geffalrus wrote: ↑Sun Jan 03, 2021 9:55 pmIn my experience, they're generally very good with listening to community suggestions on army lists. I already prepared some quotes from the Gesta Principum Polonorum, the Chronica Sclavorum and the chronicle of Thietmar of Merseburg that I think will shed some light on how such a list should look like. Right now I'm holding back, waiting for the release of the game.

That sounds awesome. I for one will be very excited to see what you produce.Veles wrote: ↑Mon Jan 04, 2021 6:23 am Thanks, mate. Yeah, I'm already working on it. From what I saw so far the Baltic Army list that is supposed to cover Wends as well consists mainly of lightly protected impact foot.

Re: Polabian/Pomeranian Army List
To ease your wait I can already reveal that I have good arguments for some units of Pomeranian Spearmen: Average, Protected Offensive/Deffensive Spearmen with Deep Spear POA.
More interesting things down the line.

Re: Polabian/Pomeranian Army List
Fascinating. I've never researched the Pomeranians very much, so this will be quite the learning experience.
At the moment I'm working on how to suggest Hussite War Wagons be implemented in game.
