Mongol invasion reenactment
Now it is year 1235, the Mongols are at the gate of the Europe. Their primary goal is to conquer Kievan Rus. But what does the world look like further west? They don’t know yet, and they are eager to find out.
Below is the list that available during the Mongol invasion from 1235 to 1242. The participant pick one army preferred to play from the list.

Norwegian 1155-1319
Polish 1200-1319
Russian 1155-1264
Scots(Isles and Highlands) 1050-1319
Scots 1162-1319
Swedish 1155-1319

The Mongol players start their invasion westward. The first three faction facing Mongols are Russia, Bulgar(Volga), Cuman. If no one picks these three factions, I automatically assume these factions are annexed by the Mongols and the campaign carries on further west.
The European faction players who has not faced the imminent Mongol threat will fight for the overlord of the European continent. The player loses the match is subdued by the winner. The winner then has the option to use his original army list or subdued faction lists for the future match. The overlord will meet the Mongol invasion forces when the Mongol army reaches the border of the realm.
The matches are arranged according to the adjacent or not. For the convenience, German lists players will fight each other first.
What is on report post?
The match winner posts the match result and their choice of army.
Who will be the overlord of the European continent? Will the Mongols reach the Atlantic ocean? Let's play and see.
The register due date is Feburary 26th.

If non-Mongol faction wins against Mongol, the Mongol invasion army is destroyed. So I welcome more Mongol players to maintain the reenactment name. If all Mongol players are wiped out from the campaign, of course the campaign envolves into European factions fighting for the domination.
When players are starting talking about Mongol army OP or not, I think it's necessary to have some activity to make people play matches to prove or prove not.

Totally agree with you: in a game where stochasticity plays such a large role, a much larger number of games than just a few is needed to understand the underlying tendency (in this case whether Mongols are overpowered or not).

Karvon's Mongols defeated melm's Bulgars 49-14

The Mongol invasion army led by wzfcns and Karvon has mixed result.
One Tumen led by wzfcns aiming at Rus states was defeated miserably. Rus states enjoyed their success and peace for a while. However, the other Tumen led by Karvon utterly destroyed Volga Bulgars' resistence and secured the Mongol's flank.
Now Karvon directed his army to the south invading Rus again to avenge his brothers fallen on the battlefield.

As the Mongols are unable to break the resistance of Rus States, they are forced to retreat back to the east. The first stage of the invasion ends.
