Similar situation here. I have hope that points for earlier victory will be added. As Germany I won in 9 turn. As Poland, opponent resigned (if I good remember) in turn 13. (I killed all units and controlled all cities and airports). It is strange to be behind non players.

Hello !
Is round 2 about to begin, as round 1 ended a few days ago ? Or maybe round 2 will only begin when the new tournament rules are set ?

Re: Panzer Corps 2 - 2021 World Championship Begins
If you achieved an early victory, that means, your opponent was not so strong, or at least, he made big mistakes. In this ways you will get more points than the one, who had a stronger opponent who was a real challenge to be defeated. After that, you will be paired the ones, who had also weak opoonents (by your scores), and at last, some will win who haven't met strong players, maybe he is also just amediocre player (he can be strong, but that's pure luck). As a winner, you will have a good chance not to be paired good players, and the ones, who bet the strong players within an inc in an epic battle, will end at the bottom of the list. That's what this system is "good" for. Only win/lose what is counting, you can't compare big wins against noobs, a and close wins against the best players (and the latter could be more valuable). A historic example to make it more clear :with this system, the German rush of Poland (where Poles had no chance), would be more valuable, than the Russian win at Stalingrad or Moscow, where epic battles happened. Cos Poles lost earlier then the Germans later, and Germans lost less units against the Poles, than Russians against teh Germans. But in the reality, we will never know, who would have won if the poles would be as strong as Germans. Maybe, the German generals was better anyway, maybe the Poles did their work better but without chance- the huge German advantage will never let us to know it. So, both wins were wins in the given case, and you can't compare them with numbers.Dzidek wrote: ↑Thu Oct 07, 2021 1:12 pm Similar situation here. Re: Panzer Corps 2 - 2021 World Championship Begins
nicely said @ urbanov.. alot players complain on personal reasons. We all shouldt enjoy the tournament and play the game.
Re: Panzer Corps 2 - 2021 World Championship Begins
I dont agree with Urbanov4 and its not on a personal level. This tournament isnt a campaign( you dont carry over heroes and expirienced units). The second and more important thing from mine POV is that mine opponent from the first round have less points than players that even didnt complete their deployment phases. The reality for me was that in previous 2 tournaments when the rounds time was 7 days, I did between 6-8 turns per round( guess what - I`ve finished this round on 30 september - I did play after work on workdays and have time in weekends but the opponent just returns when I am asleep).
P.S. Here comes the Idea for flat points when ending turn or no points when didnt end deployment phase...

Sorry, but penalty for winning it isn't personal level. I don't understand why good games is not rewarded but tormenting the oponent is. In last turrnament won person with biggest sum of small points from all matches (if I good uderstand). Is this time will it be different, or only big points will matter?
