Re: Live stream; Round 6 of the Panzer Corps 2 World Champ game a432 (7th) vs Daystick (8th)
The first uploaded game is a great example why this scoring is absolutely unfit to determine the standing between several competent players.
Daystick dropped the ball bigtime and the first game is basically a milking contest, no competition.
Now this is no problem, you deserve the win in this round - no questions asked
But in this instance you get a stellar boost on the scoreboard for having a weak matchup.
It is safe to say kleko had a similar easy time in round 5. Daystick only excelled against weak opponents if we look him up.
Not knocking the guy. It is not him. He obviously is a good player, who probably just missread the map or the time period in terms of unit choice.
Those things can happen, they just should not have that huge effect on other players in their respective matchups.
For anyone who wants to understand why this scoring is so unfit to determine a No1 place amongst hundreds, your video gives a great idea.
In this case you have an easier time getting to No1 than the ones already there, who duke it out amongst them and don't make severe mistakes that can not be remedied throughout the game.
In fewer words:
Who won first spot? No1 or No2?
Answer: Neither, but the ones in the ballpark who got the weakest opponent in their matchup.
(I'm sure you know this is not a knock, just happy to see all those obvious holes in the scoring brought to life after all)
Congratulations on the win

Thank you!Congratulations on the win
As far as our mutual enemy the scoring system, you are 100% right.
However the more rounds, the less of the problem this will be.
It will be funny to watch in the final round that the ultimate winner is actually the 5th vs 6th match up, not the 1st vs 2nd place match up.
A simple solution would be to top8 or top4 in a single elimination playoffs for Finals/ Semi Final / quarter finals.

Andrew, you are in deep waters now;)
Re: Live stream; Round 6 of the Panzer Corps 2 World Champ game a432 (7th) vs Daystick (8th)
Daystick is having some power issues he reports : "Received word that our power is to be interrupted tomorrow while they do some sort of work on the power infrastructure. Not sure when I will lose power and for how long."
This is why we are not continuing the game at the moment. We may just continue turn by turn offline instead of Online. Will keep you posted

He's trained to be. He's a professional
You on the other hand are under observation now too!
Good aggression is a rare quality - pumped to see your progress.

Not good enough and cracked like a biscuit as defender. You sounds like you know Fritz ingame or even personaly?
I dont think Andrew is trained enough to match Fritz, Kleko or Trepko and I want him to prove me wrong with his videos in next round.

I like Biscuits Nutoha, They are one of my favorites, I wonder... what does yours taste like? Just a little bit on the salty side, I'm sure.
I think you might get exactly what you want in the next round

Mine biscuits have a different flavor depending on the user. They taste like 2627+ points for Fritz - others get diabetes. I hate "sterile" discussions and I dont found any of us to be salty

I think I might get the chance to taste your biscuit nutoha
Edit: Nope, no biscuit tasting this round, Trepko scored enough points. Maybe next time
