Re: Soviet Grand Campaign (DLC 42 v0.03)(12/03/22)
Hello Nico:
I was checking the files for new additions and I noticed that the equipment file is not present in the Data folder of the GC 37-46 download. Is this intentional?
Best wishes and thanks for the update!

Yes, it is. It is specially assembled for the GME users.guille1434 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 10:21 pm Hello Nico:

Still, my personal equipment file can easily be copied from any of the DLC versions into the data folder of GC 37-46.

Hi Nico.
Thanks for the update for DLC '42. I see you have added the translation into German right away. I will translate the new missions 05. and 06. in the course of the week and then make them available on mediafire. You can download them there and include them in the next update. Do you agree?
Greetings
Hans

Hans, I appreciate the effort that you and Markus are doing to translate everything into German language.
The both of you don't need to ask for permission to make these translations available for German speaking players. It is a good solution until i include it in the next update.
I did delete the translated campaign file. I recommend you wait with this file until the DLC 42 is complete.

All right, Nico. You're right. It's better to wait until everything is ready. It saves "reworking" if you make one or two changes to individual missions. In this sense ... Keep it up.nikivdd wrote: ↑Sun Mar 13, 2022 6:25 pm

Re: Soviet Grand Campaign (DLC 42 v0.03)(12/03/22)
The development continues.
I'm currently testing four new scenarios, before going back to the drawing board. There won't be an update anytime soon but the development of DLC 42 is progressing. AI attacking scenarios are a pain in the butt.
So, i updated the flowchart. Try guessing to fill in the blanks once again. I gathered myself a nice core army and those KV-1's are really doing a nice job but are not almighty. The first phase of the Axis in the Caucasus is supposed to be brutal. And there she is...

I miss more infantry ... something like marines in blue coats. Isn't this possible to add? I saw a lot of photos where they fought to defend different places inland.

Did the Germans almost make it to Grozny? I didn't even know that. I read somewhere that the motorcycle patrol reached Astrakhan. But she did not enter the city. But I didn't know about Grozny.Estherr wrote: ↑Sat Mar 12, 2022 6:06 amOh, my bad, forgot about that last night. The first one, city in Ossetia. In this particular scenario my infantry is dug in around the objectives that must be held. My armored units deal as much damage to the enemy before retreating. The enemy also has infantry in transports, to keep up with the armored units.Erasermarek wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 6:19 pm I miss more infantry ... something like marines in blue coats. In this screenshots i have no infantry there, because we know what armor does to infantry in open terrain.
We know that the vanilla efile has some shortcomings but i don't want to create this campaign with a modded e-file; i prefer that each player has the liberty which efile to use. So perhaps there is a modded unit mod out there with marines in blue coats.

I'm surprised the marine isn't in vanilla. It was part of many battles. E.g. played a major role in the defense of Sevastopol.

Really promising glimpses. I am looking forward to testing these scenarios when they're ready.
I am slightly confused about the equipment file distribution. Do you mean that your modified equipment file will be only available with the DLC-like (split file) release rather than the full single campaign version? If so, why? I am asking because I am one of those who have problems loading the saved core into the standalone DLC42 (in fact, the version I have been playing at present is a modified DLC37-41 campaign file where I manually added the continuation scenarios you have made for '42 so far).

Re: Soviet Grand Campaign (DLC 42 v0.03)(12/03/22)
I have been really thinking why the core transfer between different modded DLC's doesn't work. So, i have been comparing the German GC and USSR GC since i hardly ever have seen someone complain that there was a problem with a core army export/import in the German GC. I found out one difference which might be the reason/solution. The equipment file for the German GC is in the main program data folder; so it is very likely when this file is exchanged with the one i offer, the problem should be solved (backup original though) and the equipment file from the data folder in each separate USSR DLC should be removed.imp44791 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 21, 2022 8:10 am Really promising glimpses. Most likely in the end i will just keep the 37-46 package once the whole campaign is completed. That will surely solve known issues.
You'll get an update with new scenarios soon

Re: Soviet Grand Campaign (DLC 42 v0.03)(12/03/22)
Progress update.
Four scenarios have been tested, some tweaks still need to be done.
I have started creating the fourth and final scenario of the Caucasus path of this DLC. After the scenario Voronezh, the campaign splits in two: the Caucasus path and the Stalingrad path.
The flowchart hardly differs from the previous post, but one blank has been filled in: Uranus South.
