lunecastle Bosporan 11-375 AD with Roman 24 Bc-196 AD defeats tmac11 Roman 285 - 312AD 65-34.
A game that went to the last turn after some solid defending, and then counter attack, by the Romans.
Well played to tmac11, and all the best, Lunecastle

Re: TDC Later Medieval - Results & Division Standings as of April 16th
Chherif appears to have left the TDC. I have not been able to contact him and at least one opponent has not been able to schedule a game with him. If I don't hear from him soon I will be awarding 40-15 wins to the opponents who have not yet played Chherif. If you are having trouble finishing a game with Chherif or have not yet started a game with him, please PM harveylh this week. Despite his departure, it is the most competitive division in Later Medieval and it is still unclear who will win Division B.

TDC I - Dark Ages - Division Tables - Week 9
The relegation battle continues between Oscarius, MarkLeslie, Kroche and rpadilla1988
Division B has an exciting finish. Triarii pushed himself into 2nd spot with a tough battle vs BobG. He now has to rely on his fellow countryman IMC to prevent Random27 from overtaking him. IMC in the meantime, really needs 2 wins in his final 2 games to remain in Division B
Division C - Congratulations to Garokan for securing 2nd spot and so being promoted to Division B, alongside mcfcivo

Div C
DocVanNostrand - Parthian 250bc-250ad with Seleucid 166-125bc allies defeats random27 - Assyrian 681 - 609 BC with Egyptian allies 63-46
a tooth and nail struggle that could have gone either way. The Assyrian chariots created problems in the center for most of the battle, with the Seleucid foot breaking through only with great effort and no small amount of luck. Meanwhile, a patch of rough terrain on the left was well utilized by the Assyrians to scatter a Parthian horse-archer flanking detachment and effectively neutralize the Parthian cataphracts. Only after a chaotic cavalry battle on the right - and slow, elephant-aided progress in the center - were the Parthians able to largely encircle and destroy the Assyrian infantry. All of that said, the final scoreline was inflated by the dumb luck of ~3 routed parthian units rallying in the last couple of turns - the real difference was MUCH smaller and for most of the match the Assyrians were ascendant.
Thanks to random27 for a great match!

Flockaveli (Jewish Revolt) 22% defeats Delbruck (Sassanid 591 -628 w/ bedouin allies) 50%
78 - 22
A deep stream cutting across the map limited the Sassanid cavalry's options, and the Zealots were able to break through. Great game and thanks to Delbruck.

Blagrot- Danish 1200-1319 AD with Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD ally beat random27 - Granadine 1232-1319 with Berber (Marinid) 12441391 AD ally 54% - 29%
A strong right hook by the Granada forces turned into a confused mess of flanks and routs while the Danish infantry pressed forward, breaking through the thiner spearlines to start butchering the crossbowmen and archers, even with the skirmishers added in they lacked the firepower to stop massed foot.
Also
Blagrot- Danish 1200-1319 AD with Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD ally beat rpadilla1988 - Aragonese 1200-74 with Castillian/Leonese 1200-1319 AD ally 45% - 17%
Ironically a similar situation to the above fight, a strong right hook making progress too slowly to stop the massacre of the crossbowmen, the lighter not-knight cavalry of the Danes managed a couple of critical flank charges to gain the lead.
Thanks to both for fun games.

Aetius (Irish) defeats markleslie (Bohemian) 65-53
There were two battles, both which I thought were going poorly for the Irish initially. One was the main line battle on a broad hill, the other was an Irish attempted envelope around a hill. The envelope swarm worked, and with some good luck the Irish main line held enough to get past 60. It should be noted that several Irish were fragged and this could have gone the other way with some different luck. GG to my opponent who played well!
Aetius - 72 points
markleslie - 53 points

Blagrot- Danish 1200-1319 AD with Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD ally beat DocVanNostrand - Bohemian 1200-1319 47% - 21%
After some early maneouvre the lines clashed with both sides favouring the right, some over-aggressive dismounted knights found themselves exposed and the danish foot both spoear and impact surged forward. Clearly unprepared for the barbaric charge and unnerved by the loss of their knightly protectors a wave of morale drops crippled any response by the Bohemians. Thanks for the game and a a good attitude to a rather bad turn
