game freezes for 30 seconds whem trying to move aircraft

Was playing campaign 42, no problems. Loaded campaign 43 and now the game freezes for 30-40 seconds when I try to move aircraft. Strange thing is the freeze occours in both campaign 42 and campaign 43. I played the standalone scenarios and aircraft move/fight normally.
when trying to move aircraft in campaigns, CPU usage goes up to 100% I have an I9, 18 core processor so can't understand why it should be so stretched. Playing operation eberus is virtually impossible.

I have the same problem since I started playing campaign 43.
The freeze occurs when I select a destination for the aircraft where a combat prediction calculation is done. When the target location is completly empty it doesn't freeze.
My system has a Ryzen 5900X with 12C/24T and everything spikes to 100%!

I think quite a few people are experiencing this issue, me included. I too have a pretty high end system, or at least it was for a 4 year-old gaming rig.

I reported this issue along with a number of other people during the Beta Test, so i am sure that it is being looked at.

Same Problem here...but I also have it in the DLC's from 1940 to 1943, which I've only played in the last few weeks.

I´ve an Ryzen 9 with 32GB RAM and RTX 3070.

I have also this problem, game lags or freezes, even for several seconds. I think it's somehow related to calculating paths/damage odds preview. As soon as I click aircraft or move them it takes ages. Using undo plane movement or de-selecting the plane does the same thing.

System: Ryzen 3900X, NVidia 2080, 2560x1440. No difference on Ultra or Low graphics settings. Tried to uncheck/check path preview-checkboxes but no effect.

Tested briefly on my laptop (Ryzen 7 4800H, NV1650, 1920x1080), same problem there but maybe not as pronounced.

I played through AO43 but it was total pain and I'm definitely not playing PzC2 again with this bug. I'd say game is nearly unplayable. Other campaigns (MP coop, AOs) now lag too so this is related to AO43 release.

I find it astonishing as this was already uncovered on Beta testing and nothing was done. I would have flagged this as critical stopper to DLC release but every code reviewer does things in his own way.

Same problem here, though freeze is usually about five seconds. Started very recently—maybe with beginning AO1941? Game performance was flawless before, no changes in hardware or (AFAIK) software.

This problem is getting progressively worse—nearing fame-breaking territory. Any suggestions for addressing it on the user end?

I have this bug as well. I have a I9-9900 and 2080 super video card, 64 GB mem and m.2 drives. PC2 was very smooth, never had any lag at all until I installed the DLC for 1943. Now it is nearly unplayable. In fact, although I am addicted to the game, I am very close to quitting until this bug is fixed. It is extremely frustrating.

Happens still on version 1.5.5 (Steam version, DLC AO1944). Maybe it's not as bad as earlier but place selection lag is there. Very noticeable if you just click on your planes, move them, hit undo or select different place. Easy to test on later AO43 scenarios.

It's plane flying distance, not the mod. Range 12 planes are ok but try with long range planes. I guess calculations are done badly somehow and user interface becomes unresponsive while game spends time finishing them. As you can see from the image, game won't even peak 100% CPU or GPU (around 60% on ultra)

^^This works! Google for “set affinity” instructions for your OS. You have to change the setting each time you play. If you see two PzC2 programs, pick the larger one. Reduce the number of cores to the point where animations just start to look choppy, and then add one. Doesn’t take long at all.

Thanks for confirming. 1.9.x update does include a fix for this issue, so I was wondering if that fix works for everyone.
