The Franks managed to keep the Khorasianian cavalry at bay, and a bloody fight on a hill decided the match. GG!

The Persians, strong in numerous Dailami medium troops, assaulted the French positions head-on.
Violent fighting ensued in which heavy French troops prevailed. The admirable courage of the Persians was not enough to reverse the outcome of the battle.

Div B Bagatrix 1805 with German imp defeated EDB1815 with the Crusaders score was 56-27, a tough contest and well played to EDB1815 as you said a little ambitious on the flank which may have tilted the game in my favour, hope you had fun too

Divsion D

Ironclad (Sarmatian 350 BC - 24 AD) defeated phlewis (Galatian 260-83 BC) 52-26

The Galatians defended on a narrow front anchored on woods with the rest of their heavy troops including cavalry at the rear angled back to provide extra deep flank protection. Repeated Sarmatian missile attacks by light troops gradually depleted the more exposed enemy units followed by massed lancer attacks to break up the formidable resistance. This was a tough fight and the Galatians were close to holding out long enough for a draw before the relieved Sarmatians managed to achieve the victory on the penultimate turn.

mh5064 GERMAN (IMPERIAL) 1200-1319 AD defeats Armchairbaron Crusaders 1155-1291 with Faimid Egyptians 43-12.

Battle fought in the desert with large bumpy areas. The crusaders immediately suffered from the imperial crossbowmen and archers who weakened their positions thus helping them to be broken through by the imperial heavy troops.

Division D

Ironclad (Lombard 493-567 AD with Avar allies) defeated gort7078 (Byzantine 551-578 AD with Germanic HT allies) 53-26

Hilly and woody terrain with some clear ground meant both armies started in strong positions. The Lombards remained stationary until the Byzantine forces began to advance forward when they launched their attack in response. A tough fight followed where the gods of fortune favoured the Lombards in combat and retreat results enabling them to achieve an increasing advantage which they were able to capitalise on to reach a decisive outcome.
