Round 2 (1390-1150 BC): Attack declarations
Please declare (through posting in the tournament thread) your respective attacks (one each) on the next un-controlled region on your respective paths to Carchemish (1) (for Assyrians 6 Ninive, Babylonians 11 Babylon, Egyptians 8 Jerusalem, and Hittites 9 Iconium) by March 10 at the latest.
Note
Note
- You cannot again use the minor factions that you've already used, whether as ally armies or defending armies. (For example, I cannot use any Hyksos or Luwian lists, rbodleyscott any Zagros or Luwian lists, dim30 any Mitanni or Hyksos lists, and Badger73 has exercised his option to not bring allies to an attack.)
- For ally armies, the selected minor faction's army list must overlap (at least partially, with 1 year at least) the time periods of the major faction's army list as well as the round.

Why would a Hitte Empire army need any allies? All men are our subjects.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 9:26 amAh, so using your option of not bringing any allies this round?rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 9:14 am rbodleyscott attacks Iconium (9) using Hittites 1275-1180 BC
(Though I must admit, if I had thought of it, I might have brought Sherden, but that would be extremely unhistorical for Hittites)

Ha ha! You're free to change, all up until everyone's declared attacks. No, its seems a shame not to use a historical army. At least the Egyptians did make use of Sherden historically.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 1:24 pmHa ha! Hi, Andreas.kronenblatt wrote: ↑Mon Mar 06, 2023 10:39 am kronenblatt attacks Jerusalem (8) using Egyptian 1276-1201 BC with Sherden 1278-1209 BC allies.
I think the Clash of Empires mod has a bug. I want to defend against your Egyptian 1276-1201 BC with Sherden 1278-1209 BC allies using Sea Peoples 1208-1176 BC. The mod won't let those Side A Egyptians keep Sherden allies when I select Sea Peoples as Side B. It erases those Sherden allies selected after I pick Sea Peoples. Alternatively, when I chose Side A as Sea Peoples 1208-1176 BC, it does not list Sherden 1278-1209 BC as an option for allies to Side B Egyptian 1276-1201 BC. Do you want to fix that or must I choose a different opposing army? Please advise. Thanks.

Clash of Civilizations - round 2 (1390-1150 BC)
The Dread Lords of Ashur bow not to history's constraints! This is the only turn the Sherden are available. Use 'em or lose 'em methinks. I don't play to repeat historical mistakes, I play to make new mistakes instead . . . !
Badger73 attacks Ninive [6]
using Assyrian 1365-891 BC with Sherden 1278-1209 BC allies
against kronenblatt
o Turn limit: 24 turns.
o Force size: Large (1600 FP for both attacker and defender).
o Map size: Wide (40x32).
o Map type: Middle-Eastern Agricultural or Desert or Plain, as selected by the defender.
No map re-rolls will be made.

In any event, please just post your defending army and then we'll wait for the other players (at least for dim30 to post his attack, and ideally all defenders as well) before setting up the actual games.
