After some initial maneuvering both sides got to grips, the usual pike push and shove occured however a couple of flanks were exposed and were gleefully accepted by the Greek cavalry leading to a collapse of the Macedonian line.

I think I just had my luckiest turn ever in FoG. At the end of one turn Triarii had a small lead and had just killed a general and fragged one of my keils, it was looking very much like a defeat. When I got my next turn back the keil had rallied to disrupted and was able to get a rear charge in which with more good fortune saw two opposing keils routed, the other two disrupted and the score at around 35-16 which the pursuit moves increased it to 51-16 and game over.

On a generally open plain, the massed Persian sparabara was hard-pressed against the German heavies. There was a looming peril in the Persian horse threatening to flank the Germans, but they simply couldn't get involved in the action before the melee had been settled.

Only just managing a win on the penultimate turn the match had involved a long period of march and countermarch to get 3 Keils in a position to climb the steep hills the castillians were on. Once up the Keils prevailed but it was touch and go for most of the game and at the end a draw seemed possible until the 23rd turn - a good and memorable game. Thanks to Oscarius.

The Portugese were favoured with an open map. So Portugese Knights and swarms of LC and skirmishers were able to move, concentrate on and overwhelm the Sword Bretheren's mounted right flank avoiding infantry and the Teutonic Knights until it was too late for them to affect the outcome.

A battle that took place between two hills, the Gauls won in the center, but in the North the Carthaginians broke through and started flanking, which turned the tide. Well-fought by Questar! GG!^^
