I assume you mean units cannot be moved to enemy territory and attack. You must first declare war on a country, including Poland, before you enter its hexes or attack its units.

To declare war click on the "hat" button on the bottom-right of the screen. To see the "hat" button and not airborne or elite unit buttons make sure you do NOT have any units selected. After you click the "hat" button a map will pop up and then click on the country you want to go to war with.

Poland is neutral in GS v2.0 so you need to declare war upon Poland to invade. One reason is that Poland would then get a surprise hit of 10 efficiency.

After uninstalling all CEaW files I re-installed the Matrix Gold (v1.12) version of the game. I then installed the ceaw_v112_gs20 file to C:\Matrix Games\Commander Europe At War Gold. Folders CEaW-Grand Strategy (which included the file SlithLaunch.exe), and Grand Strategy Mod were created.

Attempted to launch the game from the shortcut and received an error stating could not find SlithLaunch.exe and did I want to fix it. Replied yes and received the Slitherine Launcher widow as seen in rkr1958's posting. Unfortunately when I press OK nothing happens.

Did I load v2.0 files into the wrong directory? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the work the team put into creating this mod!

It appears that you installed the GS mod to the wrong location. From what I understand the Matrix version is installed in C:\Program Files\Matrix\etc. or something similar. You'll need to uninstall GSv2.00. Then you'll need to determine the exact location of your Matrix Gold install and use that location when you run the GSv2.00 installer.

The correct folder location will be the one where you can see CEAW.class file in addition to several other files and folders.

Ok, so after 2 hours or so the download died at 143 MB.

Trying again now.

New download coming in at 90kB/sec. Not quite as anemic - how big is the download?

Edit: Nope, back down to 20kB/sec.

I'm using the URL provided in the Email sent to me when I purchased the product (having lost my original purchase order for Vanilla CEAW from ways back).

There was a proxy server / tunneling service I was using to assist with latency on a game I play hosted in the US, which I've turned off (stupid of me to have left it on for this download), which has helped. I'm now bouncing around between 50kB/sec sometimes up to 150kB/sec (though spending most of my time around 50-70).

Unfortunately time for me to head off, I'll leave the PC on overnight, and hopefully the download doesn't time out again (this'll be the 4th attempt).

Edit: It took half the night, but seems to have downloaded ok, and is now installing.

Make sure you do not use the default file to unzip into. Change to the folder with the original game. Then all works well.

This may have been posted already, but when I buy garrison units, I get Corps units. I'm not sure if they are any different from actual Corps units, since I haven't purchased any of those yet. Is this a bug? My game locks up as Axis 1939 when I declare war on Greece. After I get out and come back in, war has been declared.

Okay - it appears that I installed the game (2.0) However, when I click on the game icon I'm asked what language I want, I chose English, then The lizard appears with Silerine at the bottom and then goes off? Now what?
