Grand Strategy 2.0 is here!
The free community-based expansion is deploying to the front!
For full details or to download the expansion go to http://www.slitherine.com/ceaw_gs2
Please remember to uninstall any other mods before installing Grand Strategy 2.0.
This expansion has taken years to produce and thousands of man hours from a dedicated collection of people from artists to programmers, manual writers and layout experts. The end result takes this great game to a whole new level. Some of the biggest changes are listed here:
• Airborne divisions and para-drops
• Cross platform multiplayer support for PC vs Mac
• German SS and Soviet Guards Elite Units
• Amphibious landings against defended coastal hexes
• Geo-political elements, which include:
o French armistice (which the axis may accept or reject)
o Early Italian entry if insufficient allied naval presence in the Med
o Tension in the Balkans
o Spanish activation as axis or allied minor ally
o Turkey activation as axis or allied minor ally
o Finnish armistice
o Romanian and Bulgaria surrender and activation as allied minor ally
o Consequences for allied aggression (e.g., UK invasion of Ireland).
• Canadian, Australian, Polish and Indian Commonwealth units and leaders
• Headquarter units
• More and greater variability of leadership ranging from Army Groups (Fronts), Armies and Corps
• Ferry crossings
• Ability to swap positions of two units of the same service type (i.e., ground, air or naval).
• Reinforcement of sub groups at sea
• Leased air bases (Azores, Iceland, Greenland)
• Malta naval and air bases factor into the interdiction and counter-interdiction of axis supply of North Africa
• Allied Interdiction of Swedish Iron Ore to German
• Scripted construction of Atlantic Wall Fortresses
• Many more improvements - too many to list to here!

I've downloaded this twice and still getting error message:
"Archive integrity check failed. The setupfile is not complete. Possibly due to an incomplete download or corrupted file."
File can be started and it shows out starting screen + error message popup. Setupfile is corrupted...
EDITED: Looks like its server upload problem...

Yeah. The setupfile itself might be ok, but server just doesnt upload it correctly. Looks like server has some timeout problem or something.michaelincol wrote:4 times trying to download the mac version here. It keeps cutting off - with mac it then tries to mount the incomplete file and fails - at 132 mb, at 236 kb, at 72 mb...
Doubt if it is problem on my end - especially seeing other similar (I think PC version download) posts.
michael

problems
I've downloaded the entire game twice - won't run at all.
Me too. What a pile of crap! I would rather have paid money to have a working software instead of this disaster.Wolfe1759 wrote:Getting pretty much the same as Augustus
Game goes through the splash screens to choose fullscreen/sound and language (I've been selecting English) then goes to the Slithereen logo screen then crashes to desktop.
Installed over a 1.12 patched GS 1.06 from a base Matrix CEAW (initial release)

Sorry to anyone having problems. We know it works on the base game and have tested numerous other configurations. However its not possible for us to test every possible set up people may have modified their game to. It does work on a clean install. I'd suggest you revert to a clean install and try again.
When the team has had a chance to check it out I'm sure they'll work it out.
An additional note : Please watch your language. This is a free upgrade by a group of fans. They do not deserve these kind of comments. Any future bad language will get you banned.
