Being a long time fan of the movie and indeed the animated show (so good!) I was wondering if there would be an opportunity for people, maybe through a competition, to get their names into the game as squad members names? Seeing my own or a friends name fight valiantly alongside another would really bring it home for me personally.

That would be pretty awesome. I don't see it happening on individual trooper basis, but maybe squad names? Looking at how the mechanics are going to work, I doubt it.

Oh yes, Roughnecks is some of the best war storytelling in any format if you ask me. The early fully 3D animated style hasn't aged well, but soon enough you're too engrossed to care about that I've found as I've dusted off my old DVD boxset from time to time.
