Rat catcher!

Got to love a game that has an option to build a rat catcher. Decided to start a campaign game battling fellow clans in Ireland and came across that decision. Don't know yet if this tops empires but on the way to finding out

Better than the Garum shops?
Only one Bonus Trade Good with the rat catcher... but there is some scripted interaction with Shanty Towns that will pop rats. By the way, have anyone seen the rats occuring more than lets say, the beta? I havent seen this even pop lately (ie the rats being caught, or the rats eating your granary...). Maybe its because I dont build the slums anymore and pick something else?

If you don't build slums where do you get your soldiers from, there are only so many peasants to round up!

I gave up on slums back in beta a long time ago. I haven't seen any rats so far in my current game, other than some disloyal coup causing rat fink. I don't think the rat catcher will help much with that rat...
