I've made significant progress over the past few days, and I'm excited to share what I've been working on. This is still a work in progress, so everything you're about to see is subject to change - nothing is set in stone just yet.
I hope to faithfully bring China's story during the Second Sino-Japanese War to life, while also showcasing its critical role in the broader global conflict.
Now, without further ado, let's dive into some teasers!

First up, here is a look at the infamous Marco Polo Bridge Incident, being brought to the world of Panzer Corps 2! The scenario will bear the native Chinese name of the "Luguo Bridge" and will mostly serve as a story-heavy intro to the mod. Of course, this is still work in progress, and quite unfinished, but the general concept has been finalized.
PS: the date is still a placeholder

Next up, here is a look at some of the new briefing portraits for the mod, aiming to add flavor, while also representing niche parts of Chinese history during the war to further the worldbuilding. As to how and where these portraits will be used, I'm leaving for you to ponder on. Though I can certainly say that the tigers will take to the skies during the campaign.

Here you can see some of the brand new units coming to the mod, textured by me. I'm no texture artist, so please bear with me, I did my best. In the images below you can find historical recreations of Chinese cavalry, Chinese regular infantry and the irregular Chinese militias, complete with custom-made Chinese face textures! I mostly used already-existing textures as a base to build upon and modify to achieve this, but there was a fair bit of original work put in as well.

These are the reference images I used, while working on the new units.

Also, here is a sneak-peak behind the scenes on some more models I'm working on, both for the Nationalist Government and the Chinese Communists. I'm again mostly using already-existing models as a base to modify, but you get the gist, I have plans for custom East Asian terrain, landmarks and even more units in the future. Though I still have a lot to learn about using Unreal Engine, since I'm quite inexperienced with it as of now.

I also discovered unused graphics in the game files for the various award levels for the Chinese faction, I will put these to good use in the mod.

The mod's campaign selection screen has now been improved in some places and also includes a description, unlike before.

That covers everything I have to show as of now, till next time!
