Panzer Corps 2 Complete Edition
The Introduction from the book “The 7th Panzer Division”
The Ghost Division DLC for Panzer Corps 2 is deeply rooted in real historical events, with the developers carefully tracing the 7th Panzer Division’s wartime path to shape the structure, scenarios, and tone of the campaign. As a tribute to that legacy, here’s an excerpt from the introduction of The 7th Panzer Division in World War II, a book written by veterans to preserve the memory of their unit and offer future generations a deeper understanding of its history.
Thirty years after the surrender of 1945, we published the book “The 7th Panzer Division in World War II,” which won admiration inside and outside of Germany. We did it to remember, and to express our thanks to the men of our division whom we have buried on the battlefields for their final sleep.
Today, another thirteen years later, the contours of war experiences have become less clear through the long passage of time, and even in our own memory many a picture of the service and sacrifice of Rommel’s onetime “Ghost Division” has faded away. Although the reality of the present day surrounds us and the fast pace of time wipes out one memory after another, the general striving for clear historical portrayal has grown stronger, even the younger people want to understand the reality of the war’s events.
For these reasons, there arose the plan to portray the war history of the old 7th Panzer Division once again. By presenting this work, our wish is fulfilled that it may be accepted not only a contribution to the better understanding of our history, but rather this volume of pictures should cause us to reflect and, through constant striving and mutual understanding, be able to build a good future.

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - Ghost Division | Out Now
Just finished with the first scenario and wanted to give my feedback.
First off, thank you for keeping the price what I consider to be very reasonable. I saw that was mentioned in the announcement post and wanted the team to know that is it very much appreciated.
So far I'm really enjoying the adjustments as far as the prestige objective and special objective. I feel like replacement cost has gone up compared to previous DLC's which I really like as it often felt like elite replacements were too inexpensive at least for an average player playing on more normal settings. Capturing the prestige objectives feels like a real accomplishment to be able to add that amount of prestige to your pool.
Having played only a single scenario I'm not sure if the special objective will always reward a hero or how it will work in the future but the first scenario reward was amazing. I'm really looking forward to see what the other scenarios will have.
Thank you for the continued historical text before and after the missions. Perhaps overall it's a small part of the game but I enjoy reading it and look forward to it with interest each and every scenario.
I also think the idea to follow a specific division is an interesting change. I'm really looking forward to playing through this campaign. If you're open to suggestions I would love campaigns that followed specific commanders as well. Manstein's battles on the Eastern Front and the idea of an elastic defense always interested me. I've read comments here and there about people not enjoying defensive scenarios but those are my favorite. Making use of terrain and surprise to achieve smaller local victories to slow or stall a larger advance against a superior force. I really enjoyed his and Rommel's inclusion in the AO campaigns. I thought the writing/stories were great!
In any event, thank you for continuing to create new and fun DLC for my favorite game. I always look forward to the releases and can't wait to see what you guys have planned for the future. Keep up the great work!

Re: Panzer Corps 2: Elite - Ghost Division | Out Now
Just bought it, finishing up a run through AO46 (6 scenarios to go) then I'll play it.
I very much like the idea of "elite units" campaigns. The smaller scale negates the common moan of "I won every scenario and my side still lost the campaign."
However, I don't see any Steam achievements in my Steam? Are they on the way, or deliberately omitted?
