I started a campaign in Italy and after a marginal victory I was sent to France for the Normandy invasion. Before placing my units I upgraded 1 of my artillery pieces to a rail gun. When I started placing my units into position and when I placed the rail gun the game allowed me to place it in a town that had railroad tracks but when it came time to move the rail gun, it would not allow me to move it even though it was setting on a railroad track.
Now if I placed it wrong I don't have a problem with that, but shouldn't the game only give you the option to place it in a hex that it would be movable?
This is with the RC3 version of the game.

Sounds like a bug. Could you please send me saved game with that immobile railgun to rudankort@rsdn.ru?
Thanks, I checked the file. It appears that the rail gun is deployed not inside the city, but next to it, and on that hex only "normal" road exists, not railroad. This explains why it cannot move. If it were placed in Orleans, it should have been able to move from there.
In any case, it is of course a bug that a unit can be deployed on a hex from where no further movement is possible. I'll look into this.
