Not sure if I should purchase this . . .
or if I should get Panzer Commander Ostfront or the new Combat Mission. Loved PG, but then fell in love with the combat mission game system. Have any of you played all three?
I played all three and didn't like Ostfront or the latest Combat Mission. You know, it's all a matter of personal preference, none of the games are bad and that's the beauty of the Slitherine games, there is something for everybody interested in this genre. Since you loved PG, I don't see why you wouldn't like Panzer Corps, it's basically an improved version, one that is also getting excellent reviews and which is now the fastest selling game ever released by Slitherine and I'm having great fun with it, when I'm not playing the big titles from the big studios.

Ost Front graphically is no Combat Mission, but likely a better game, and well I will be blunt, it comes via the Matrix Games method of install.
Battlefront can forget any future support from a lot of 'anti social DRM' hating public. If it works for Matrix Games/Slitherine, then what is Battlefront's problem eh. Or are they just not smart enough to figure it out?
Tried the Combat Mission Normandy demo and was satified that it wasn't new enough to merit not playing the original even if the original requires a means to play it inside a Windows 7 avoiding method like a virtual machine.
Both of the above titles though are not even close to the 'battlefield' scale of Panzer Tactics which is operational not squad level.
If a person wants squad level, there are other choices of course. Currently neither Ostfront or CM N are any competition for BBC Battlefield Academy, especially in multiplayer which is all Combat Mission has ever had to make it good.

If you loved PG, you'll love Panzer Corps.
But, if your married, your wife will hate Panzer Corps.
I've played CM: Barbarosa to Berlin. I was totally clueless about platoon and company level tactics when I first played it. But, I learned a lot playing it.
Especially how to properly place ATs and MGs.

Indirect tactics, efficiently applied, are as inexhaustible as Heaven and Earth, unending as the flow of rivers and streams; like the sun and moon, they end but to begin anew; like the four seasons, they pass away but to return once more. Sun Tzu

Although the learning curve of Panzer Corps (especially as regards the proper use of prestige to build and replace your army in the course of the main campaign) is maybe a little steeper than I had expected, the game is great fun and historically pretty accurate most of the time despite the obvious abstractions made for the sake of playability. I highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for something in the low-to-middle ground of complexity. Also, as the in-game adviser so aptly noted, "In blitzkrieg a slow victory is no victory at all", and to its credit Panzer Corps does a great job simulating the blitzkrieg strategy and tactics.

yup its different level of view
Panzer Commander and Combat Mission is different level perspective, it's squad based
to fit in the middle was Campaign series ( previously from Talonsoft ), they have Platoon level
Panzer Corps is Operational level I think with much of complexity taken out to have broad user preference
it all depends on your pace of gaming, for me Panzer Corps scenario can be done for 30minutes - 2 hour length of play while I found it about 3-5 hours of gaming for later Combat Mission series like the Kursk 43
Campaign series that fit in the middle can range from 1hour - 5 hours too at the complex scenario for me.
I think there's the demo file to try ?
