If a 4/2 P&S unit enters disordering terrain is their any effect on their shooting or fighting ability?
It would appear not as only two bases are disordered (2Pk) and disorder kicks in at 1 per 3.
Are the only negatives:
1. Pk no longer count as steady.
2. Movement is reduced to 2.
3. -1 on complex move test.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Effect of Disorder on firing/fighting
The disorder doesnt kick in at 1 per3, that's the effect of the disorder. I think that when they are shooting, they would still have their normal number of dice as the medium foot shot are not disordered. When it comes to fighting, the battle group is disordered because of the heavy foot pike, and so would lose 1 dice per 3 (so normally down from six to four dice).
All the other negative points you list are there as well.

Re: Effect of Disorder on firing/fighting
Thanks for the reply (Tony is that you)... however I'm not sure this is completely correct???
I agree in shooting there would be no effect as the 4 shot bases are not disordered - so fire at full effect.
However in respect of close combat I'm not sure there is any deduction in dice?
Page 38 second Para, this talks about 'bases' being disordered and not BG's. Towards the bottom the Para it says, 'If the Pike bases were also in the field, the pike would be disordered for combat purposes but the shot would not'....???? This would mean in the example I give above that 2 bases of Pk would be disordered and as you lose 1 dice per 3 there would be no effect as not enough disordered bases for a deduction in dice. I suppose this is similar to an Elephant disordering 2 bases of a Mounted unit and where there is no deduction in dice either???
Can anyone clarify if I'm missing something here?

The two pike do not lose any dice but will lose any benefits they get that require they be steady.

Looks like you are correct.
Disruption from failing a Cohesion Test would cause the whole unit to lose 1 per 3 dice, but with only 2 pike being disordered they do not lose any dice so you get your full dice for a melee.
